When it comes to DFS lineups, looking at matchups and opportunities will be key in constructing a winning lineup. Everyone knows that T.Y. Hilton is a top receiver, but that doesn’t necessarily make him a slam dunk starter every week in DFS (see: last week). Hilton is typically one of the most expensive wide receivers, but one with a cheaper price tag might be in a similar spot for production with a better match-up.
Each week, I’ll help you exploit specific defensive players and also touch on non-skill offensive players (read: the offensive line) to help you make the right choices on which players to roster and which players to fade.
Last week, we had some hits with Aaron Rodgers, Terrance Williams, Sammy Watkins and Eric Decker. There were some misses with Justin Forsett (who had a TD vultured), Carlos Hyde, and especially, Marshawn Lynch. Well, we forget about last week and time to look on to Week 3 in DFS. I’m going to go a bit deeper to mine for some gems this week.

Situations to Exploit in the Passing Game
I won’t usually recommend targeting the Bills defense, but in a large tournament, you might have to think a little differently and take advantage of the numbers. Rishard Matthews has been on the field for nearly 80 percent of the snaps and has seen 12 targets in two weeks. I think Buffalo will concentrate on Jarvis Landry, leaving cornerback Stephon Gilmore on Matthews. Gilmore has been thrown at 27 times already this season, allowing 12 yards per reception. Matthews does line up in the slot at times, so he could also see Nickell Robey, who has allowed a 69 percent completion rate on 74 targets since the start of 2014. I think Matthews makes for a sneaky WR play if you’re trying to fit in some expensive pieces in your lineup.
