Last week, Redskins Coach Jay Gruden was confident wide receiver DeSean Jackson would “definitely” suit up against the Buccaneers.
That, however, is no longer the case.
“That was before he tweaked his hamstring on Thursday,” Gruden said Monday. “I think we’ll see how he does. We’re going to evaluate him this week. He’s got a couple [of] good days of rehab here. Wednesday, we’ll see where he’s at. Hopefully it’s coming along. But it’s not a definite [that he’ll play Sunday], no.”
Jackson missed his fifth straight game in the Meadowlands and did not travel with the Redskins on Saturday. He did, however, make his way New Jersey on Sunday morning to visit family, receive treatment from the team's medical staff and get in a pregame workout at MetLife Stadium. Jamison Crowder could be a solid play if Jackson remains out.
