Shaun Draughn figures to play if Carlos Hyde can't

As the San Francisco 49ers reconvene today following their bye week, a much-followed storyline will surround the health of running back Carlos Hyde.

Hyde has not played since Oct. 22, citing a stress fracture in his left foot. And if Hyde does not play this weekend on the artificial turf of the Seattle Seahawks’ CenturyLink Field, the running back duties figure to again fall on the new guy.

Shaun Draughn, less than a week after being signed off the street by the 49ers, led the rushing attack in their surprising 17-16 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Impact:

The 49ers obviously liked what they saw in Draughn enough to part ways with the more-accomplished Pierre Thomas after his one-game audition last week. The team did sign Travaris Cadet as a pass-catching threat and he could cut into Draughn's workload. It will be a tough matchup at Seattle in Week 11.
