Just spoke to Bengals HC Zac Taylor and asked about the status of QB Joe Burrow tonight. He said “we aren’t ready to reveal a decision just yet and will wait a couple more hours before we make a call.”

Fantasy Impact:

It looks like the team is taking this right up until the final moments. We reported earlier today Burrow was trending in the right direction but that's still all we have to go on with about three hours until game time. If Burrow doesn't go, Browning would get the start against the Rams.

BUF QB AJ McCarron - 2018 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

A.J. McCarron faces a rookie in training camp to see who will be the starting quarterback Week 1. Josh Allen was drafted as the quarterback of the future, but McCarron could win the job and be the guy for 2018. Opportunity is McCarron's biggest fantasy asset.

Fantasy Downside

McCarron can easily remain an NFL backup. Even if he is the Week 1 starter, how long will that last? He does have some NFL experience as opposed to rookie Josh Allen. But only three NFL starts and 133 pass attempts in Cincinnati is not exactly a big sample size.

2018 Bottom Line

McCarron or any Buffalo quarterback should not be drafted. No matter who it is, the Bills offense is expected to be below-average. McCarron only gets fantasy value if he starts Week 1 and performs well. For now, he isn't on the radar.
