SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. St. Louis
Boldin had another sub-par performance last week, catching five passes but for just 27 yards. He's been way to inconsistent to count on this season and you're best served looking elsewhere even though he has had five consecutive games against St. Louis with 90 or more yards. Remember, he didn't play against the Rams earlier this season, so those are ancient history - kind of like Boldin.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Detroit
Boldin finally got into the end zone for the first time since Week 5 last week, adding eight receptions for 74 yards. He's had at least 74 yards in three of Blaine Gabbert's five starts, but in the two games he didn't reach that total, he didn't break 37 yards. Boldin most certainly isn't a game-breaker, he's a chain mover. That said, Gabbert looks his way quite often. You should have better options. Boldin has two 100-yard games this season, none since Week 6.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Cincinnati
Boldin managed just two receptions for 22 yards last week at Cleveland. Heading into a game against Cincinnati's tough pass defense, Boldin will have a tough time shaking free. But he's the chain mover and if he works the middle of the field, there could be a little room for success. Don't use Boldin as anything more than a flex or a low-end No. 3 receiver.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cleveland
Boldin has at least five catches in each of the past three games, but managed just 37 yards last week on his five receptions. Boldin has an opportunity for a good game against a Cleveland pass defense that has given up six WR touchdowns in the past three games. But don't start Boldin as anything more than a No. 3 receiver. The up-and-down nature of San Francisco's offense is just too risky.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Chicago
Boldin suddenly has value again now that Blaine Gabbert is at quarterback with 93 receiving yards in each of the past two games. He did that on five catches last week working against Patrick Peterson. After a slow start, Chicago's pass defense has been very good. Boldin shouldn't be used as anything more than a No. 3 receiver.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Arizona
Boldin had five catches for 93 yards last week at Seattle, showing some signs of life after an up-and-down season with Colin Kaepernick steering the ship. He had his worst game at Arizona earlier this season, catching just two passes for 16 yards and will be anxious to better those numbers against the team that drafted him. The Cardinals are 14th in points allowed to opposing wide receivers, so there's some hope. But you're also hitching your wagon to Blaine Gabbert. That's a tough call. Use Boldin as a flex play.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at St. Louis
Boldin is playing through a hamstring injury and led the 49ers with seven targets last week. But he managed just three catches for 39 yards and with Colin Kaepernick struggling, it's hard to expect more out of Boldin -- especially against a tough St. Louis pass defense. The Rams have allowed just five passing TDs this season, three of which have gone to opposing WRs. Don't use Boldin as anything more than a low-end No. 3 receiver.
