Scouting report

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 11 vs. Giants
Anquan Boldin topped 90 yards receiving for the third time in the past four games and also scored for the third time in four games. He's clearly Colin Kaepernick's top target and should be useful as a No. 3 fantasy receiver this week, though he did drop four passes last week.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 10 vs. Saints
Anquan Boldin has had his two best fantasy games of the season in the past three games, including a line of 6-93-1 last week. The Saints have been pretty poor against opposing wide receivers this season and the 49ers are going to have to throw the ball in this one. Boldin is a solid No. 2 starter this week.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 9 vs. Rams
Anquan Boldin had seven catches for 94 yards and a score just a few weeks ago in St. Louis. But I have a feeling that with Vernon Davis now healthy and drawing coverage, Colin Kaepernick will rediscover Michael Crabtree, making Boldin more of a third option again. He should be a decent start this week, but don't expect a repeat performance from the first meeting.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 7 vs. Broncos
Anquan Boldin had another strong game last week, catching seven passes for 94 yards and his first TD of the season. But he doesn't have a great matchup this week with Denver, which has given up just three TDs to opposing wide receivers in three games. But Boldin should get enough work to be handy as a low-end No. 3 receiver this week.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 6 vs. Rams
Michael Crabtree is dealing with a foot issue and Vernon Davis is still limited with a back issue. That leaves Anquan Boldin as the top remaining target in the San Francisco offense. He made that work last week to the tune of four receptions for 72 yards. There's no reason to think Boldin can't come up with a similar effort this week, though he still hasn't scored this season.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 5 vs. Chiefs
Anquan Boldin has had at least five receptions in three out of four games this season, including five for 62 yards last week. Kansas City has allowed one touchdown catch to opposing wideouts each week, but has been pretty solid overall. Boldin is going to play second fiddle to Michael Crabtree, but with Vernon Davis hurting again, he'll be OK as a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

SF WR Anquan Boldin - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Anquan Boldin Week 4 vs. Eagles
Anquan Boldin bounced back from his two-catch performance in Week 2 with six last week, but for just two additional yards (36). He does have a juicy matchup with the Eagles' defense this week that allows 280 yards passing per game, which makes him worth taking a shot on as a low-end No. 3 receiver or solid flex play, especially in PPR leagues.
