Scouting report

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Carolina

Austin Seferian-Jenkins has a touchdown in back-to-back games, but that's not really reflective of his role in Tampa Bay's offense. He caught a Hail Mary pass last week after playing just 29 percent of the team's offensive snaps.

ASJ is a talented player, but he's still being slowly worked into the lineup. He's not on the field that often, and he's really only productive if he catches a touchdown.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Chicago

In every game since returning, Austin Seferian-Jenkins has caught three passes for nearly the same amount each time (31 yards, 31, 29). The only difference was he caught a touchdown last week.

It's clear Jameis Winston likes going to his tight end, but ASJ is only on the field for brief periods of time. The second-year TE played just 36 percent of Tampa Bay's offensive snaps last week. He's nothing more than a low-end TE1 play.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at St. Louis

Austin Seferian-Jenkins is still working his way back into the lineup after suffering a serious shoulder injury. He played 45 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 14, an improvement from the 30 percent he played in Week 13.

His slightly increased playing time didn't result in an increase in production. In fact, he had the same numbers (3-31). We expect him to a play a little more this week, especially with Vincent Jackson expected to miss time. ASJ should be viewed as a borderline TE1 in a decent matchup against the Rams.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New Orleans

Austin Seferian-Jenkins finally made his return to the field last week, although it was in a limited role. He didn't see the field much, but still managed to catch three passes for 31 yards.

ASJ is a big boost to Tampa's offense, and should be a legitimate threat once he's fully healthy. He gets a favorable matchup this week and will be a low-end TE1 option.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Dallas

Is Austin Seferian-Jenkins ever going to return? It looked like he might come back last week, but he was listed as inactive when game time came around. He's been doing pretty much the same stuff this week that he did last week, so it's hard to know if he'll finally play.

When he does return, it will be a huge boost for Jameis Winston and Tampa's offense. If he comes back this week, he may struggle in a bad matchup. ASJ will be a risky option this week, if he does play. If he's inactive, there really aren't any other tight end options in Tampa to consider.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Giants
Austin Seferian-Jenkins might return from injury this week. He was a full participant in practice on Friday and has been practicing in some capacity all week. He'll be a great target for Jameis Winston in a great matchup. The Giants have allowed the most receptions and receiving yards to tight ends this season. ASJ becomes a low-end TE1 play, assuming he's healthy enough to start.

TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Atlanta
Austin Seferian-Jenkins has missed every game since Week 1, but he's been limited in practice this week and could return. If he comes back to the lineup, he'll be a huge boost for a team that will likely play without Vincent Jackson. ASJ is listed as questionable and the thought right now is he won't play. If he ends up being active, however, ASJ could be a decent play for your fantasy roster.
