HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New England Patriots
In the loss at Cleveland last week, Brandin Cooks turned eight targets into six receptions for 39 yards. Deshaun Watson was held to just 163 passing yards by the Browns defense and windy conditions. Even though New England owns a good pass defense look for better things from the Texans aerial attack on Sunday, making Cooks a WR3/flex option.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cleveland Browns
In the victory against the Jags last Sunday, Brandin Cooks grabbed three passes for 83 yards, including a 57-yard TD. During the past four contests, Cooks has averaged seven catches for 93 yards and scored three times. On the road against a below-average Cleveland pass defense, consider Cooks a WR2 play.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Jacksonville Jaguars
In the three contests before the Texans bye, Brandin Cooks averaged 10 targets, eight receptions and 96 yards. Also, both of his touchdowns with Houston came during that span. In last month’s win over Jacksonville Cooks went off for 161 yards and a TD, so consider him a WR2 play in Sunday’s rematch.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Green Bay Packers
After a slow start last week in Tennessee, Brandin Cooks finished with a team-high nine grabs for 68 yards and a score. In the past two games, he’s been targeted 21 times, leading to 17 receptions for 229 yards and two TDs. It looks like it took some time for Deshaun Watson and Cooks to be on the same page, but owners have to be hopeful things have turned the corner. Cooks is a WR3/flex start on Sunday versus the Pack.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tennessee Titans
Deshaun Watson threw for 359 yards in the win over the Jaguars last week, with Brandin Cooks busting out for eight grabs, 161 yards and his first TD as a Texan. In his first four games with Houston Cooks totaled only 10 receptions and 138 yards. Watson has passed for at least 250 yards in all five contests this season so if Cooks has the potential to be a part of your starting lineup each week. At the No. 23 Tennessee pass defense on Sunday he makes for a WR3/flex option.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
With the return of a healthy Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks has become a forgotten part of the Texans offense the past two weeks. In the loss to Minnesota last Sunday he was shutout on three targets, as Watson connected with seven other pass catchers. Through the first quarter of the season Cooks has only 10 catches and no TDs. Even though the Jaguars defense hasn’t been able to slow down any opponent, he makes for a risky fantasy start.

HOU WR Brandin Cooks - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Minnesota Vikings
With Will Fuller back at full strength against the Steelers last week, Brandin Cooks received five looks from Deshaun Watson but caught only three passes for 23 yards. Randall Cobb led the Houston receivers with 95 yards and a score out of the slot position. Cooks has been limited to under 25 yards in two of his three games with the Texans and has yet to find the end zone. However, he has a great matchup at home versus the third worst overall defense, so Cooks is a WR3/flex play.
