SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Miami Dolphins

The Rams held Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense in check, all but eliminating the reigning NFC champions from the playoffs. Week 16 is now a must-win for the 49ers. It’s also a must-win for the Dolphins, making this an interesting setup for both sides. For fantasy purposes, it’s not exactly a favorable matchup for Purdy. Miami ranks 8th in the league against the pass. And with the recent minor slump Purdy has been on, one can think it would be tough to trust Purdy in the fantasy playoffs but we do have him as QB13 this week.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Los Angeles Rams

As we figured would be the case, Week 14 in the snow was an outlier for Brock Purdy. He bounced back in a very nice way with 325 yards and two touchdowns in a big win over the Bears. Purdy now goes into a short week and into a huge divisional game against the Rams, a rematch from Week 3 and a game that the 49ers let get away from them. A loss this week puts the 49ers two games behind the Rams with three to play and the Rams would have the season sweep. Purdy is going to do all he can to not let that happen. He's hoping for another strong outing like he had the first time against the Rams, when he threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns. However, the Rams have been playing much better defensively now that they are healthier. Purdy should still be viewed as a solid QB1 this week in what is almost a must-win situation for the 49ers.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Chicago Bears

As expected, Brock Purdy didn't muster much of a fantasy performance in Week 13 between injuries and the snowstorm. Purdy should get back on track this week at home against the Bears. Of course, he'll now have to do so without Christian McCaffrey or Jordan Mason, both of whom were injured against Buffalo. The Bears do rank near the top ten in passing yards allowed and have only surrendered 11 passing touchdowns in 12 games. Only the Jets (9) have allowed fewer. Their secondary is quietly one of the better units in the league. The 49ers are desperate, though, and sometimes, desperate teams to desperate things. Purdy is a low-end QB1 this week.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Buffalo Bills

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan expects Brock Purdy to play Sunday against the Bills after missing last week with a shoulder injury. If he does play, he'll face a Bills team that ranks 11th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks and 14th in passing yards allowed. The 49ers are clearly much better on offense with Purdy in the lineup, but it remains to be seen how limited he'll be by that shoulder. For now, we have Purdy as a borderline QB2 given the injury concern and the heavy snowfall expected Sunday.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Brock Purdy had one of his best offensive performances last week against the Buccaneers, throwing for a season-high 353 yards (his second 300-yard game this season) and his first multi-touchdown game since Week 6...against the team he faces Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is in a tailspin, having lost five of six since their 3-0 start and rank 20th in the league against the pass. And with Christian McCaffrey back, the offense will only open up more. Purdy is back as a strong fantasy option this week.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brock Purdy comes out of the bye week on a stretch of eight straight games with at least 200 passing yards. A trip to Tampa brings a good opportunity to extend that streak to nine games as the Bucs are allowing the third-most passing yards per game at 255. The Bucs now also have to worry about Christian McCaffrey which will help open up the offense. Purdy is our QB4 this week.

SF QB Brock Purdy - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Brock Purdy was stymied by the Chiefs in Week 7, going just 17-of-31 for 212 yards with three interceptions. He did rush for two touchdowns so his fantasy day wasn't terrible by any means. He now has a 9-to-7 touchdown-to-interception ratio entering a Week 8 meeting with the Cowboys, who rank 19th in passing yards allowed per game. Purdy shouldn't be nearly as poor on the field this week as he was last week, especially with not having to worry about being chased by Micah Parsons.
