MIN QB Case Keenum - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Chicago Bears

Case Keenum went wild against the Bucs in Week 3, but came crashing back down to Earth in Week 4 vs. the Lions. The Minnesota QB threw for 219 yards and 0 touchdowns, which is rare to see in this age of football. So far, Keenum has had two poor games in his three starts with his only big performance coming against an injured defense.

His matchup this week against the Bears isn't a tough one, but considering his performances so far, it's hard to trust him as a fantasy option. It's also worth noting Sam Bradford returned to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday. Since the Vikings play Monday night, it could turn in to a late decision.

Even if Keenum does play, he's not a strong QB option this week.

MIN QB Case Keenum - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Detroit Lions

Case Keenum surprisingly came out with a huge performance last week, throwing for 369 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He's filled in just fine for the injured Sam Bradford and gets another start in Week 4 against Detroit.

The Lions defense has been fairly tough against quarterbacks, mainly because they're able to force turnovers. But if Keenum can limit his mistakes, there's opportunity to pass on these defenders.

We don't expect Keenum to do what he did last week, but he proved he's not a detriment to the team when he plays. He's not a great option at quarterback this week but can be serviceable if needed.

LA QB Case Keenum Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Jets
Case Keenum completed 27-of-46 passes for 296 yards with one touchdown and an interception in the Rams’ Week 9 loss to the Panthers. Why Keenum is attempting 46 passes for a team that has Todd Gurley at running back is mind-bogglingly, but that’s Jeff Fisher and the Rams for you. For reasons only Fisher can justify, the Rams will stick with Keenum at quarterback while former No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff continues to ride the bench. Operating in one of the league’s worst offenses, Keenum has no fantasy value. He ranks as our QB25 for Week 10 and should be avoided.

LA QB Case Keenum - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Carolina
Jeff Fisher reiterated over the Rams' bye week that Case Keenum will remain his starting quarterback. Rookie Jared Goff reportedly took more reps during the team's off week and could find himself under center for the Rams sooner rather than later. For fantasy purposes, both Keenum and Goff should be avoided. Keenum ranks as our QB25 for Week 9. There should be better options on your waiver wire if you need a streamer for Sunday.

LA QB Case Keenum - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New York Giants
Case Keenum completed 27-of-32 passes for 321 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Rams Week 6 loss to the Lions. He also added seven yards and a touchdown on the ground in what was his best games ever as a pro. At one point he was a perfect 18-for-18 in the third quarter and continues to have great chemistry with Kenny Britt. He faltered in the end, however, as he threw a bad interception to seal the loss for the Rams.

Keenum has gone from the worst quarterback option in fantasy to simply a QB to avoid. He ranks as our QB24 for the Rams' Week 7 tilt with the Giants in London. Leave him on your waiver wire.

LA QB Case Keenum - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Detroit
Case Keenum completed 21-of-31 passes for 271 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions versus the Bills in Week 5. It wasn’t all bad for Keenum, who has developed good chemistry with Kenny Britt. But his two interceptions in the second half were back-breaking for a Rams team that entered the game 3-1 on the season. Ranked as our QB29 for Week 6, Keenum is among the worst fantasy options at the position. Look elsewhere if you need to stream a QB.

LA QB Case Keenum - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo
Case Keenum was 18-of-30 passing for 266 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Rams' Week 4 win over the Cardinals. Somehow Keenum has led Los Angeles to three consecutive wins and a 3-1 start to the 2016 season. That said, he's completing just 55.4-percent of his passes, is averaging a paltry 6.82 yards-per-attempt, and has a 4:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Despite his team's early-season success, Keenum ranks as our QB26 for Week 5 and can be avoided in all formats.
