Scouting report

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 @ New York Giants
The explosive game hasn't come yet for CeeDee Lamb but he also hasn't fallen below seven targets yet, and he's averaging a decent 11.6 half-PPR points per contest. The boom game is coming, and there's no reason not to consider him a locked-in WR1 for the rest of the year.

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Baltimore Ravens
CeeDee Lamb is very good at football, still only 25 years old, and has very little competition to sink him below an elite share of Prescott's pass attempts. Start him everywhere against an unimposing Ravens secondary.

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New Orleans Saints
CeeDee Lamb is very good at football, still only 25 years old, and has very little competition to sink him below an elite share of Prescott's pass attempts. Start him everywhere you can and see if he can dethrone Tyreek Hill as the most valuable WR in all of fantasy.

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
CeeDee Lamb finished under double-digit half-PPR fantasy points on only three occurrences last season —all of which came in the first five weeks— and notched over 20 points seven times, two of which came in Weeks 16+17. Fantasy managers who won their Championships with (or because of) him are eager to get him back on their rosters, and for good reason. He finished with an outlandish 29.2% target share and 19.7 FPPG, scoring the most fantasy points at the wide receiver position. His 2024 upside is the most valuable player in the game.

Fantasy Downside
Barring an unforeseen injury to himself or Dak Prescott, it's hard to find much downside for Lamb this season, which is why he's often going as the 1.01. If we want to dig deep, his offensive line should see a bit of a downgrade, and there's at least some sort of chance that he could miss games due to a contract dispute. Disregarding the unknowable, it's hard to come up with a scenario in which he isn't at least a top-5 option at his position.

2024 Bottom Line
CeeDee Lamb is very good at football, still only 25 years old, and has very little competition to sink him below an elite share of Prescott's pass attempts. Draft him everywhere you can and see if he can dethrone Tyreek Hill as the most valuable WR in all of fantasy.

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Detroit Lions

Cee Dee Lamb was able to put up WR10 numbers in Half-PPR scoring in Week 16, thanks to his six grabs for 118 yards and a touchdown. Lamb also added 14 yards on two rushing attempts. Lamb has seen ten or more targets in four straight games and has less than 53 receiving yards in just one of his last 11 games. He's the WR2 overall in 2023.

Lamb can be started with a huge level of confidence in Week 17 and is expected to be among the top scorers at the WR spot, thanks to a matchup with the Lions, who rank dead last in aFPA to wide receivers.

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Miami Dolphins

The Cowboys' meltdown against the Bills sunk all boats in the Boys' passing game, even the safe and steady CeeDee Lamb. Lamb's 10 targets produced seven grabs for 53 yards, which was unlikely to pay any bills in terms of fantasy production. He was able to sprinkle some touchdown deodorant onto his day with a three-yard rushing score on his way to the WR16 in Week 15.

The Dolphins' defense has been somewhat more forgiving towards wide receivers than running backs this season, as they rank 20th in aFPA to wideouts compared to ninth against running backs. There is some concern that the Dolphins may follow last week's gameplan and have Jalen Ramsey shadow Lamb, but this is the only possible fly in the ointment for Lamb's fantasy hopes in Week 16. He should be viewed as a safe high-end WR1, and let's be honest you're not sitting him at this stage of the season, whatever the matchup.
