Scouting report

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Chris Olave saw just five targets against the Steelers, his fewest in a game since Week 1 when he had just three. His 40 yards were a season-low. This week, he gets the Rams who rank 21st in Pass DVOA. Olave hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 5 but he could bounce back and finally find the end zone again this week. His upside is limited because of Andy Dalton at quarterback, but Olave's upside still puts him in low-end WR2/WR3 territory this week.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Pittsburgh Steelers

A solid game last week for Chris Olave, catching six passes for 71 yards. He also saw nine targets last week. He's the man now in the Saints offense and he gets a pretty nice matchup this week. The Steelers are among the bottom groups of teams in defending the pass this season and their corners have been burnt bad at times (see A.J. Brown). Olave's mini-touchdown drought could come to an end this week. He's a solid WR2 this week.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Chris Olave now has six straight games with double-digit fantasy scores thanks to his fourth game this season with at least five catches. And now we know he'll be the top guy going forward with the news that Michael Thomas is likely out for the rest of the season due to his toe injury not responding well to rehab. New Orleans has been inconsistent on offense, but Olave has been about as trustworthy as can be this season for whoever is at quarterback. Keep trusting him this week, even against the Ravens, who are top-12 in pass defense DVOA.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

If anything, at least Andy Dalton is able to get the ball to Chris Olave. 14 targets against the Cardinals led to seven catches for 106 yards. He could reach those numbers again this week as the Raiders rank 30th in DVOA against the pass. With Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry likely out again, Olave has a ton of upside this week. Definitely start him.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Arizona Cardinals

Chris Olave should be good to go for Week 7 after clearing concussion protocols and hasn't shown up on the injury reports. With Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry still out, Olave has the potential to eat up targets this week. At least, that's the hope since he totaled 13 targets in Andy Dalton's first two starts after back-to-back weeks with 13 targets apiece with Jameis Winston. Arizona is reeling and a bit poor against the pass, so this could be a good "get right" opportunity for Olave after missing time. He's a top-ten option for us this week.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Chris Olave is still making his way back from concussion protocol after suffering the injury against the Seahawks. If he is able to play Sunday against the Bengals, he is easily the top target in the passing game with Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry both out. If he can't, it will feel like 2021 again with Marquez Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith. Keep a close eye on the Saints' injury reports and notes on Olave to make sure of his status for this weekend. He faces a tough Bengals defense (No. 7 Pass DVOA), but with the way Olave has been playing, he's a fine WR2 regardless. If he plays.

NO WR Chris Olave - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Turns out, it doesn't matter who is throwing him the football or who else is in the lineup, Chris Olave will make plays for the Saints. He found the end zone for the first time and continued making incredible catches. Michael Thomas may return this week, but Olave has become a near-lock in fantasy lineups because of how incredibly talented he is. Whoever is at quarterback doesn't much matter at this point.
