Scouting report

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 @ Detroit Lions
The Thomas Brown OC'd offense used far more 3WR sets in Weeks 11 + 12, which left Cole Kmet as the only tight end on the field for much of the games, resulting in a massive 98.6% snap rate. Sadly, that only led to a 3-42-0 stat line and 5.7 half-PPR points in Week 11, but a more manageable 9.9 points last week. He's a fine TE streamer for desperate managers, but his floor is far too low to trust. Plug him in lineups where you have no choice but to chase upside.

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Thomas Brown OC'd offense used far more 3WR sets in Week 11, which left Cole Kmet as the only tight end on the field for much of the game, resulting in a massive 97.2% snap rate. Sadly, that only led to a 3-42-0 stat line and 5.7 half-PPR points, the eighth time in ten games he has scored less than 8 fantasy points. He's a fine TE streamer for desperate managers, but his floor is far too low to trust. Plug him in lineups where you have no choice but to chase upside.

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Green Bay Packers
The Bears beat up on the Jaguars before heading into their bye, and Cole Kmet got in on the action, catching his second and third touchdowns of the season. He followed that up with five targets for 27 yards over the next three games, including the second and third times he's been held to one or fewer targets. Gerald Everett is still a part of this offense, and Caleb Williams has plenty of wide receivers to distribute the ball to. Kmet does have upside-game potential, but there are better streaming options out there.

Week 10 vs. New England Patriots
The Bears beat up on the Jaguars before heading into their bye, and Cole Kmet got in on the action, catching his second and third touchdowns of the season. He followed that up with one target for 14 yards over the next two games, the second and third times he's been held to one or fewer targets. Gerald Everett is still a part of this offense and Caleb Williams has plenty of wide receivers to distribute the ball to. Kmet does have upside-game potential, but their are better streaming options out there.

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 @ Arizona Cardinals
The Bears beat up on the Jaguars before heading into their bye, and Cole Kmet got in on the action, catching his second and third touchdowns of the season. He followed that up in Week 8 with a 1-14-0 stat line on one target, his second single-target game of the season. This coincided with Gerald Everett running his most routes since Week 3, as he was once again integrated on a team that has some of the most underutilized WR talent in the entire league.

This is a fine matchup for Kmet, but there are likely better streaming options in Week 9.

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 @ Washington Commanders
The Bears beat up on the Jaguars before heading into their bye, and Cole Kmet got in on the action, catching his second and third touchdowns of the season. This matchup isn't nearly as good, but he still has low-end TE1 appeal with a surprisingly consistent floor.

CHI TE Cole Kmet - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Cole Kmet predictably came back down to earth in Week 4, notably receiving only three targets with underneath-maven Keenan Allen returning to the lineup. While his Week 5 (3-57-0) was more digestible, we could have expected more in a great matchup. He has a very similar matchup this week, which gives him a floor, but a ceiling we should continue to question. He's a fine low-end TE1 streamer.
