DK Metcalf put up his third season with at least 1,000 receiving yards in 2023, posting 1,114 yards on just 66 receptions. His 16.9 yards per reception was a career-high, but his catch rate of 55.5% was a new career low. He finished as the WR20 in half-PPR points per game in 2023. He hasn't been a WR1 since 2020.
Metcalf could benefit from the new offense in Seattle, with Ryan Grubb - the new OC - looking like something of a passing game enthusiast. Fantasy managers can probably live with a low catch rate if the yards per reception numbers, plus the touchdowns, keep going up. Metcalf projects to be a high-end WR2 in 2024.
