Derrick Henry, who landed on the injury report with a foot issue, said there is nothing wrong with his foot, and he will play on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: 

The Titans showed that they have no interest in showcasing Malik Willis as a passer, as he attempted only ten throws in Week 8. Even against a high-powered Chiefs offense in Week 9, expect Tennessee to funnel the offense through Henry as much as humanly possible.

In regard to his reduced usage on third down, I think the Titans just love Dontrell Hilliard as a pass-catching option out of the backfield. The trust in him has only grown since he played a critical role filling the Derrick Henry void last season.

Fantasy Impact: 

The author pointed out Henry had 21 carries, a little below the number of 25 the story mentioned as what the team likes to give him. Henry was also ineffective and only ran nine times in the second half. Henry is still expected to get his share of the work, but it seems like Hilliard has carved out a role for himself as well. He led the team in receiving yards and could certainly be at least a flex option in typical fantasy leagues if this workload continues.

It would seem that rookie Hassan Haskins didn't do enough through camp to supplant the veteran behind Derrick Henry.

Fantasy Impact: 

Rexrode says that Dontrell Hilliard has looked tremendous on these downs, adding "He is clearly the second-best running back on the roster, a guy I believe would get the bulk of the work if Derrick Henry were to miss any time. Hilliard, over rookie Hassan Haskins, should be the handcuff choice for fantasy owners at this point."

News: the Titans have waived RB Adrian Peterson.

Fantasy Impact: 

The move was to make room for Hilliard who was coming off a productive game in an ugly loss to the Texans. In three games Peterson ran 27 times for 82 yards and a TD. Ironically, he was coming off a 9-40-0 game where he averaged 4.4 YPC, his best in his three games with the Titans. But Hilliard in his first game of the season, ran 7 times for 35 yards and added eight catches for 47 yards.
