Scouting report

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
With Zach Wilson back at quarterback, Garrett Wilson had mixed results last Sunday. He was targeted nine times but for only four catches. He did have an impressive 98 yards so that's a good sign for the Jets' No. 1 receiver.

Wilson faces the Jaguars who are ranked 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. The Jets had over 300 yards passing last Sunday so there is hope that they can repeat that performance against another bad pass defense.

Start Wilson as a solid WR2 for Week 16 against the Jags. Wilson is the No. 1 target no matter who the quarterback is so we expect good numbers once again.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Detroit Lions
Five out of the last six games, Garrett Wilson has put up WR1 numbers. Last week, he caught six passes for 78 yards and that has become more of the floor for him at this point. He is a legit target and defenses know it and have started to pay attention to him.

Wilson faces the Lions who are ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. Detroit's pass defense is one of the worst and even worse on the road. Wilson is poised for a big game.

We downgrade Wilson to a solid WR2 for Week 15. Despite the favorable matchup, Zach Wilson's return to the starting lineup with Mike White injured spells bad news for all the Jets' pass catchers. The talent and recent production still warrants starting, but be cautious with expectations with Wilson back under center.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Buffalo Bills
Garrett Wilson had his best game of the season last week with season-highs for everything - 15 targets, 8 receptions and 163 receiving yards. It was his third 100+ receiving yard performance of the season, but it was the first game since Week 3 with double-digit targets.

Wilson faces the Bills who are ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. In the first meeting with Buffalo, Wilson had eight receptions for 92 yards.

This is a good matchup for the Jets receivers, so start Wilson as a low-end WR1 for Week 14. Should be another big game for him.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Minnesota Vikings
Garrett Wilson was the biggest beneficiary of the quarterback change in New York. He caught five passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. This pushes his stock up with a more efficient quarterback behind center.

Wilson faces the Vikings who are dead last in aFPA to wide receivers. If QB Mike White can repeat his performance from last week, Wilson is in line for another big game.

Start Wilson as a high-end WR2 for Week 13. The Jets offense showed they have taken a step up from last season when they get quarterback play and Wilson is by far their best receiver.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Chicago Bears
After two strong games, Garrett Wilson's numbers were irrelevant last week, due mainly to an ineffective Jets offense. He was held to two receptions for12 yards. New York has made a quarterback change so we will see if that helps get the offense back on track.

Wilson faces the Bears who are ranked 10th in aFPA to wide receivers. He remains the best option in the Jets passing attack so expect the targets to be high this week.

Start Wilson as a WR3 or Flex for Week 12. The Jets offense can't be any worse than last week and Wilson should be the main benefactor of the quarterback change.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New England Patriots
Garrett Wilson has definitely made the transition to the No. 1 receiver for the Jets. In the last two games, he has been targeted 16 times which has produced 14 receptions for 207 yards. The only thing lacking is touchdowns. He hasn't reached the end zone since Week 2 when he scored his only two scores of the season.

Wilson faces the Patriots who are ranked 9th in aFPA to wide receivers. In the first meeting with New England three weeks ago, he had a season-high 115 receiving yards.

It might be tougher this time around on the road and we still aren't quite sure which Zach Wilson will show up at quarterback. Start Wilson as a high-end WR3 or Flex for Week 11. Pats coach Bill Belichick won't let Wilson do what he did last game.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Buffalo Bills
Garrett Wilson had his second 100+ receiving yard game of the year and although it shows what he is capable of, it came with a Jets loss which means that formula didn't work. The Jets have issues at wide receiver but Wilson is their best option.

It will be tough this week against Buffalo who is ranked 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. The Jets offense will have to keep up with the Bills, so it will be essential New York stays away from last week's mistakes and turnovers.

Start Wilson as a WR3 or Flex for Week 9. He is the best option for the Jets passing game but we will see how QB Zach Wilson rebounds this week with his decision-making, which will directly affect Garrett Wilson.
