Eagles WR DeVonta Smith trending well, TE Dallas Goedert misses another practice ahead of Week 14

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is practicing once more, as he trends towards playing for the first time since Nov. 14.

I did not see Dallas Goedert (knee), Sydney Brown (knee), or Reed Blankenship (concussion). Britain Covey (neck) and Johnny Wilson (hamstring), who were limited yesterday, are present.

Fantasy Impact:

Calcaterra will have a great matchup against the Panthers secondary, but he can safely be left on waiver wires.

As for Smith, it looks like his hamstring is all healed up, which makes him a low-end WR2 in a game the Eagles should be able to do whatever they want on offense.

Eagles sign TE C.J. Uzomah to active roster

Fantasy Impact:

Probably not the best sign for Goedert's Week 14 availability, as this lends some veteran presence to the passing and blocking game. The Eagles TEs are an easy fade, even in a good matchup against the Panthers.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert avoids serious knee injury

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that evaluations of Dallas Goedert’s knee show that he avoided a major injury. More testing is coming on Monday, but the belief is that Goedert suffered a sprain.

Fantasy Impact:

Goedert had three catches for 35 yards and a touchdown in the 24-19 win. He missed three games earlier this year and has 38 catches for 441 yards and two touchdowns on the season, the story pointed out. The Eagles have a winnable game against the Panthers this coming week, so it may make sense to not rush Goedert back into action. The Eagles have also been without DeVonta Smith, and if that trend continues next week, Calcaterra may find himself getting some worthwhile, fantasy targets.

Still no TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) or CB Darius Slay (groin) at Eagles’ Friday practice.

Looks like neither will go for Sunday’s games vs. the Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact:

It's looking like another Calcaterra week, which can be ignored in nearly all fantasy formats. Calcaterra crested 50 yards last week but delivered a 1-5-0 line back in Week 7. If Goedert is somehow cleared before Sunday, he is *very* startable against a soft Jaguars defense.
