Week 7 at New York Giants
An early injury to Dallas Goedert thrust Grant Calcaterra into an extended role against the Browns in Week 6. To his credit, he responded well, posting 8.7 Half-PPR points on his way to TE11 for the week.
Goedert looks unlikely to play against the Giants, so Calcaterra should be the Eagles' first option at tight end. He won’t play as many snaps as Goedert given his lack of blocking prowess, but he’s the best receiver among the remaining Eagles tight ends. He’s not likely to eat in A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith’s workload too much. The Giants rank 12th in aFPA to tight ends in 2024, which allied to limited opportunities for Calcaterra makes it hard to project him as anything above a backend TE2 in Week 7.
