BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Dallas Cowboys

It’s been a tough season for Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who has been down more than up all year. He’s coming off a nice game against Pittsburgh, where he caught four balls for 85 yards and a touchdown – albeit 70 yards of that was on one play.

Even against a Dallas Cowboys defense that ranks 30th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, Brown is risky to bank on. He’s worth considering as a flyer in a great matchup as a playmaker, but only as a risky WR3 option in deep leagues. Fantasy owners should continue to be wary of Baltimore pass-catchers in this run-based offense.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown had a goose egg last week after failing to catch any of the three targets sent his way. Brown has just two touchdowns all season and only three games with double-digit fantasy points. Until he shows some level of consistency, it’s hard to trust him, even against a Pittsburgh defense that ranks 18th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Tennessee Titans

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown had been disappointing all season and he caught just two of six balls thrown his way last week against the Patriots. Brown gets targets – 6.1 per game – but the production simply isn’t there. He’s found the end zone only twice this season and has yet to see 100 yards receiving in a game. Even in a good matchup against the Titans, who rank 25th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, Brown is a risky fantasy option. We have him ranked as a low-end WR3 option in deep leagues.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New England Patriots

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown caught three of five passes thrown his way last week for 38 yards. He’s not been nearly productive enough to warrant starting every week, despite his considerable playmaking ability.

This week, Brown faces a Patriots defense that ranks 11th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, but they just gave up two big touchdown passes to the Joe Flacco-Breshad Perriman combination on Monday night. While there is the potential for Brown to score a long one as well, it’s hard to predict such a play occurring when it simply hasn’t been there for much of the season. Bench him in a tough matchup.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Indianapolis Colts

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown had a touchdown last week, but caught just one ball for three yards, and was only targeted twice. The Ravens threw the ball 28 times and ran the ball 47 times, including 16 rushing attempts by quarterback Lamar Jackson. Brown continues to be a boom-or-bust option, as is any receiver in the Baltimore offense.

This week, Brown faces a tough Colts defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. There’s always upside with his playmaking ability, but until we see some consistent production, it’s hard to trust any of the Baltimore wide receivers. Brown has WR2 upside in any given week, but fantasy owners should be wary of him.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was held to just four catches and 57 yards against the Eagles before the bye last week, but he was targeted six times and is averaging seven targets per game this season. The Ravens may never put out a consistent fantasy wide receiver given their style of play, but Brown has scored double-digit PPR points in three of his six games this year, and has only had one complete dud – two catches, 13 yards in Week 3.

This week, Brown faces a Steelers defense that, despite being pretty stout against quarterbacks and running backs, is ranked 30th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers this season. They just gave up a pair of touchdowns to A.J. Brown last week, and they have a good enough offense to keep opposing teams passing. Pittsburgh locked up Brown a year ago, limiting him to just five catches, 37 yards and a touchdown over two matchups. Fantasy owners should take a cautious approach with the highly volatile Brown, using him as an upside WR3 with risk.

BAL WR Marquise Brown - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Philadelphia Eagles

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown found the end zone last week and wound up with 77 yards on six catches. He also had a season-high 10 targets in a blowout victory over the Bengals. Brown’s production has been spotty, but he’s now averaging 7.2 targets per game, giving him upside with his playmaking ability.

This week, Brown faces an Eagles defense that just got torched by rookie Chase Claypool for three receiving touchdowns and has struggled in the secondary. Philadelphia currently ranks 27th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, so this should be a fantastic matchup for Brown. He always brings an element of risk with him, but start him as a WR2 with significant upside this week.
