Scouting report

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 @ Philadelphia Eagles
Jake Ferguson could very easily lead the Cowboys in targets in Week 17, but it remains to be seen exactly how that will translate to fantasy production. Ferguson hasn't hit double-digit points or over 40 yards since Week 9, earning only 5.0 yards per target over these last three games, which ranks 36th at the position. Consider him a top-15ish play in Week 17.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jake Ferguson will get his *third* incredible matchup in a row in Week 16, but the last two have equated to a lowly 5-55-0 line on 10 targets, rendering him unusable in fantasy. While his touchdown misfortunes could turn around at any point, there are plenty of touchdown-or-bust options on this slate, which puts Ferguson somewhere in the ~TE15 range.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 @ Carolina Panthers
Jake Ferguson has a fantastic matchup this week, but he had an equally advantageous defense last week and came away with only a 3-32-0 stat line on six targets. With that said, he had missed the previous two-and-a-half games, so maybe there was a little bit of rust associated with that porous line. We are expecting a bit of a bounceback here with no sure-fire No. 2 pass-catchers at Cooper Rush's disposal, which makes Ferguson a fringe TE1/2 play in Week 15.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Jake Ferguson is set to return to a fantastic matchup against a Bengals defense that ranks dead-last in TE aFPA, though it's hard to lock him into a TE1 role with questionable quarterback play fighting against him. He should be more in the TE15-18 range than a locked-in TE1 coming off of the injury report.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Houston Texans
Jake Ferguson's target share stayed in a decent range in Week 10, but with so much of it coming close to the line of scrimmage, his upside was severely capped with Cooper Rush/Trey Lance. He has sadly dropped from a top-10 option to someone you should probably be streaming in favor of for the foreseeable future.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Jake Ferguson has handled 18 targets in the two games since the team's bye, but now faces the top-rated defense in TE aFPA without Dak Prescott at the helm. On a team devoid of real No. 2 pass-catching options, Ferguson can still be considered a fringe TE1/2 but this could be a scenario where we find a streamer in a better matchup.

DAL TE Jake Ferguson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 @ Dallas Cowboys
Jake Ferguson profiles much better than the fantasy production we've got from him to this point in the season. He carried a forgettable 3-11-0 stat line into the Bye Week and a 6-23-0 line in Week 8, but he also has that great 6-95-0 performance coming off the injury report in Week 3. He's liable to find the end zone any game now, and that potential keeps him square in the top-7 conversation.
