Ravens WR Devin Duvernay placed on IR after practice foot injury

The Ravens have now placed WR Devin Duvernay on injured reserve after he suffered an injury in practice on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Duvernay injured his foot at practice today and immediately there were concern it was a significant injury. It's a big hit for the Ravens who were already short at the position. The team did sign Watkins who was just released from the Packers, but for now it looks like Robinson and Jackson are the top-two with Proche likely seeing more snaps. The Ravens will continue to be run-heavy going forward.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman will undergo season-ending Lisfranc surgery, John Harbaugh said.

Fantasy Impact:

Demarcus Robinson was the latest ancillary piece to pop off, going 6-64 on eight targets in Week 8. We know who the real WR1 is in Baltimore, though, and that is Mark Andrews, who is questionable for Week 9 with his own injury issues. Though the trio mentioned above may run into some extra targets, Isaiah Likely may end up seeing a lot more action, regardless of whether or not Andrews is sidelined. The team may also call veteran WR DeSean Jackson off the practice squad to stretch the hamstrings and run some 9 routes, as well.

Ravens WR expected to miss multiple weeks

Head coach Harbaugh said that Gus Edwards has a minor hamstring strain. Will be questionable for MNF but hasn’t been ruled out. Harbaugh said that Rashod Bateman’s foot injury is more extensive than originally thought. He’s expected to miss multiple weeks.

Fantasy Impact:

There were reports immediately after Thursday Night Football that Bateman's injury was "not serious," but clearly, that was incorrect. The Ravens already spread the ball around as one of the lightest passing attacks in the league, so it isn't easy to trust a fill-in in your fantasy lineups. Devin Duvernay can be considered a boom/bust desperation Flex play while Bateman is sidelined.

Fantasy Impact:

Andrews was seeing his typical elite usage —five targets on nine routes— before leaving the game with a shoulder issue in the second quarter. Isaiah Likely then took the reins and delivered a 6-77-1 line while leading the team in routes run (35). As for Rashod Bateman, he didn't last much longer and has now become a frustrating fantasy asset, having failed to eclipse 50 yards receiving since Week 3. We'll need to keep an eye on both Andrews and Bateman on practice reports ahead of Week 9.
