Fantasy Upside
Jason Witten is still one of Tony Romo's favorite targets and the best word to describe him is reliable. He has only missed two starts since his rookie season and has also been a consistent third down target for the Cowboys.
Fantasy Downside
Although Witten can still play, his numbers have started to slip. He had his lowest reception total since 2006 and he really has not been great in the red zone (averaging just five scores per season over the past four years.)
Bottom Line
Witten once put together a six-year run of 940-plus yard receiving seasons, but those days are gone. While his reception and yardage totals have dipped over the past two seasons, that does not mean he doesn't have value. He still is a top 10 fantasy tight end, but his ADP of 93 might be a little early just because a lot of owners draft him based on reputation. If you can get Witten in the 9th or 10th round as your TE1, he should be able to return value.
