SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Minnesota Vikings

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has emerged as the leader in the Seahawks' passing game and has been one of the most pleasant success stories of the season. He has been usable in fantasy for many weeks, and his matchup against the Vikings is a cracker, on paper. The Vikings rank 30th in a FPA to wide receivers this season. But the overall game situation is an ugly one, and that might cap Smith-Njigba''s ceiling at a low-end WR2 level.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Green Bay Packers

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is fourth among all wide receivers with 343 receiving yards in the last four weeks and scored the eighth most Half-PPR points during this span. The Seahawks' recent desire to establish the run, and the Packers ranking third in aFPA to wide receivers this season, should put a cap on his fantasy output, but he still looks like a solid WR2 option in Week 15.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

Jaxon Smith-Njigba averages 19.2 Half-PPR points over his last four games, but his receiving yards and fantasy points have dropped in the last three weeks. He’s worked his way up to WR19 in Half-PPR points per game for the season, and this mid-tier WR2 airspace looks like a decent spot for him ahead of a clash with the Cardinals in Week 14. The Cardinals have been quite good against wide receivers this season and rank 13th in aFPA for the position. Smith-Njigba is our WR18 for the week.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Jets

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been on a tear lately, averaging 19.2 Half-PPR points per game between Weeks 8 and 12. Only two wide receivers averaged more in this span. He looks like a solid WR2 option this week, despite what looks like a tough matchup on paper. The Jets rank fourth in aFPA to wide receivers this season, but the whole team looks on the verge of collapsing in on itself. We have Smith-Njigba projected at WR18 in Half-PPR formats this week.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Arizona Cardinals

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been on fire in fantasy terms over the last few weeks. He’s the WR3 with 20.1 Half-PPR points over the last four weeks and has made his way up to WR21 in points per game. The Cardinals, who the Seahawks will face in Week 12, rank 11th in aFPA to wide receivers, but Smith-Njigba’s good form should continue to allow us to view him in a WR2 light this week.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at San Francisco 49ers

Jaxon Smith-Njigba comes off a bye week which followed a career day in Week 9, with 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This outing boosted his seasonal averages to the tune of WR26, with 11.2 points per game in Half-PPR formats. Smith-Njigba might see his role diminish slightly with the return of D.K. Metcalf, and the 49ers defense is not likely to provide many soft opportunities for either. They rank sixth in aFPA to wide receivers this season, but Smith-Njigba should still viewed as a viable WR3 option.

SEA WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Los Angeles Rams

Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to be exactly who we think is in fantasy terms, with a WR41 showing in Week 8 just a tick ahead of his WR45 rank in points per game this season. It’s not an easy matchup against the Rams, who rank ninth in aFPA to wide receivers, but it’s almost a safe bet that if you need WR4 numbers from Smith-Njigba, that’s probably what you’ll get.
