CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tennessee
Joe Burrow had a monster fantasy outing against Cleveland last week setting career highs in pass attempts (47), completion rate (74.5%), passing yards (406) and passing touchdowns (3). He also added 34 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He had gone two straight games without a passing touchdown and that streak was broken. However on the downside, Burrow did throw an interception for the fourth straight game.

Cincinnati hosts the Titans who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks. Tennessee's defense is better than the Browns, but not one of the best in the NFL. Burrow should have some good opportunities on Sunday.

Start Burrow as a low-end QB1 for Week 8. Even without standout back Joe Mixon, the offense has the capability each week to do what they did last Sunday. Expect good numbers for the rookie.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cleveland
Joe Burrow was back over the 300 passing yard mark last week. However, he did not throw for a touchdown and did throw two interceptions. It's what we would expect from a rookie as the roller coaster will go all season long. But for the most part, Burrow has held his own.

The Bengals face Cleveland who is ranked 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks. Burrow threw the ball 61 times the last time the two teams met which produced 316 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Although those numbers could repeat, we feel Cincy will try to keep him around the 30-35 pass attempts mark.

Keep Burrow on the bench for Week 7 as there are better choices. He only ranks an QB2 and his ceiling should be around 275 passing yards with a max of two touchdown passes.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Indianapolis
After a great three-game run, Joe Burrow looked like a rookie for the first time since Week 1 against Baltimore. It's not surprising considering the Ravens defense usually has their way with young quarterbacks. He was held to 183 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception.

It won't get any easier against a Colts defense that is ranked third in aFPA to quarterbacks. Burrow will need to find a way to play better against better teams. It's a growing process for the NFL rookie , but will be necessary for future success.

We don't like the matchup this week so Burrow ranks as a low-end QB2. There is definitely good reason to like him and he will be a guy you can play against certain matchups during your quarterback's bye week or if someone gets hurt. So, carrying him on your roster isn't a bad thing.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Baltimore
The rookie helped the Bengals to their first win of the season throwing for 300 yards for the third straight game. Joe Burrow has looked very comfortable through four games and although Cincy still needs to upgrade some things on offense, mainly the offensive line, he has looked every bit the No. 1 pick so far.

Unfortunately, Burrow's good run might come to an end this week in Baltimore. Although the Ravens are ranked 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks, Baltimore has been tough on rookies over the past several seasons. Burrow will have to get used to playing against the division rival and this first meeting might be a feeling out process.

Burrow has been ranked a QB2 most of the season and that's where he is this week. Despite all the positives, he still has some things to work on and improve, but he isn't bad depth on your roster.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
Joe Burrow has been impressive for a rookie so far. He has thrown for back-to-back 300-yard games and has thrown five touchdowns and zero picks in those two games. He also helped the Bengals to their first non-loss of the season. Yes, that's an accomplishment for Cincy.

We could see another solid game for Burrow as he faces the Jaguars who are 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks. Jacksonville's defense has not been good so the Bengals will have a chance to put up some big offensive numbers.

Burrow has earned a starting nod this week. With his performances the past two games and a very favorable matchup, he rates a low-end QB1 for Week 4. Another 300-yard game is very possible and maybe another three-touchdown game.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Philadelphia
Joe Burrow has been impressive for his first two NFL games. He isn't going to be named All-Pro anytime soon, but with a below-average offensive line, he has put up some big numbers. Burrow threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns. He looks very comfortable in the offense and will probably continue to have games where he has good fantasy production.

Burrow will face the Eagles who are 13th in aFPA to quarterbacks after two weeks. Philly has not been very good the first two weeks and they gave up 37 points to the Rams last week.

It's still not time to move Burrow's ranking up. He still is a solid QB2 and continues to be a backup on your roster. He might be helpful when your No. 1 QB has their bye week so keep him on your team as depth.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Cleveland
The debut of Joe Burrow had its ups and downs, but the bottom line is if the Bengals had a kicker, he would be 1-0. From a fantasy standpoint, Burrow threw the ball 36 times, which is great for his owners but probably not what Cincy wants. He completed 64% of his passes but for a conservative 193 yards. Burrow threw zero touchdowns and one interception. Overall, he looked like a rookie quarterback in his debut, and although better times are coming, the offensive line could be an issue.

Burrow will face rival Cleveland this Thursday which had a rough start to the season. The Browns are ranked 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks after one week. It will be the first of many meetings for Burrow against the division rival.

Burrow was drafted as a QB2 and that's what he is ranked for Week 2. We eventually expect a breakout game from him, but it could come in Week 2, Week 10 or Week 15. For now, keep him on your bench as depth.
