SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Dallas Cowboys

This may be the Jordan Mason Welcome Back show as Mason gets set to take on one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL in Dallas, averaging 143 yards allowed per game. He looks to be past his shoulder injury after practicing in full on Friday and not having a game designation for Sunday. Fire him up in your lineup.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

It all comes down to how healthy Jordan Mason is following his AC joint injury last week against the Seahawks. He has been limited in practice and will likely be listed as questionable for Sunday against the Chiefs. But if he can play, he's a top fantasy option. He was on his way to another 100-yard day before leaving the game. If he can't go, that opens the door for Isaac Guerendo to get some work in the backfield.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

There’s rumblings that Christian McCaffrey could be nearing a return in the not-so-distant future, so enjoy the Jordan Mason train while it lasts. He’s still a strong option in Week 6 against a Seattle team that is in the bottom half of rush defenses through five weeks, but San Francisco has also started toying with giving carries to Deebo Samuel and Isaac Guerendo. Start Mason, but his days a a top option could be numbered.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Jordan Mason has made life without Christian McCaffrey much easier for the 49ers. He has hit the century mark three times this season and is averaging almost five yards per carry. Opposing defenses have had a tough time bringing Mason to the ground. He has forced the most missed tackles this season with 36. He has a good chance to find the end zone once again this week as Arizona has allowed eight rushing touchdowns this season, tied for the most in the league. Mason remains a strong RB1 this week.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. New England Patriots

Jordan Mason has held down the fort well since taking over for an injured Christian McCaffrey. Mason has the most rushing yards after contact with 241 and has forced the most missed tackles with 29, per NFL Next Gen Stats. This week, he faces the Patriots, allowing the 5th-fewest rushing yards per game (83.0) and the third-fewest amount of 10+-yard rushes. Mason will still see plenty of volume, making him a solid RB2 option.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Los Angeles Rams

Jordan Mason is making life easier for the 49ers without Christian McCaffrey. He has over 100 yards in both games so far, both against tough defenses in the Jets and Vikings. The Rams have struggled out of the gate stopping the run, allowing the third most in the league. Mason should safely be an RB1 again this week.

SF RB Jordan Mason - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Minnesota Vikings

Say hello to the new top back in San Francisco for the time being. With Christian McCaffrey potentially going on injured reserve, Jordan Mason will be the man for at least the next four weeks. Against the Jets in Week 1, Mason had a coming-out party, rushing 28 times for 147 yards and a touchdown. No reason for the 49ers to shy away from him now. Mason has quickly worked himself into RB1 territory this week, even against a strong rush defense of the Vikings -- allowed 74 yards on the ground against the Giants.
