OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Kansas City Chiefs
In Week 12, Jacobs finished as the half PPR RB41, only played 39% of snaps, and finished with 10 rushing attempts for 34 yards and one reception on one target for two yards.

The Raiders are on the road and only implied for 20.5 points but Jacobs draws a plus matchup. The Chiefs are the worst defense against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as a low-end half PPR RB1.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Jets
In Week 11, Jacobs finished as the half PPR RB19 with 23 rushing attempts for 112 yards and had three receptions on three targets for 12 yards. Jacobs was projected as a high-end RB1 but he was not able to find the end zone. He still had over 100 yards rushing for the fourth time this season but disappointed for season-long and daily fantasy managers.

Jacobs is in a tough spot on the road against the Jets but he has earned matchup-proof status in his rookie season. The Jets are 16th against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. The blueprint to beat the Jets is through the air but Jacobs is always a threat to rush for over 100 yards and/or score a touchdown. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as a mid-range half PPR RB1.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
In Week 10, Jacobs finished as the half PPR RB8 with 16 rushing attempts for 71 yards, one touchdown and three receptions on five targets for 30 yards. Jacobs' role in the passing game has been limited this season but he set a season-high in targets last week.

Jacobs is in one of the best possible running back matchups this week. The Raiders are favored by 11 points at home, implied for a week high 29.75 points, and matchup against the Bengals who are third-worst against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as a high end half PPR RB1. Jacobs is a must-start in all league formats.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
In Week 9, Jacobs finished as the half PPR RB4 with 28 rushing attempts for 120 yards, two touchdowns and zero receptions on two targets. DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard’s usage in the passing game continues to limit Jacobs’ PPR ceiling but he has proven to be more than capable of putting up top 10 running back numbers with limited receptions.

The Chargers defense is better against wide receivers than running backs. They are eleventh best against wide receivers but seventh worst against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. Jacobs has another good matchup this week and should produce good fantasy numbers with his offensive line creating large running lanes against an injury plagued Chargers defensive line. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as a low end half PPR RB1.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Detroit Lions
In Week 8, Jacobs finished as the half PPR RB28 with 15 rushing attempts for 66 yards and two receptions for 15 yards. DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard’s usage continues to limit Jacobs’ ceiling but he has had a great rookie season so far.

Detroit is the seventh-worst defense against the running back position, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. Keep an eye on the health of two Detroit defensive linemen, Mike Daniels and Damon Harrison, because their absence would greatly benefit Jacobs. This game has the second-highest over/under (50.5). 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as a low-end half PPR RB1.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston Texans

Monitor his health status (shoulder) closely because he did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Jacobs said he could play on Sunday without practicing this week but generally coaches do not like to play rookies if they haven’t practiced during the week.

In Week 7, Jacobs finished with 21 rushing attempts for 124 yards and three receptions for 10 yards.

Houston is the eighth best defense against the running back position, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. If Jacobs is cleared to play, he will look to find the end zone in a game with the second highest over/under (51.5) of the week. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as the half PPR RB15.

OAK RB Josh Jacobs - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Green Bay Packers
The Raiders had a bye in Week 6.

The Packers are good against quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends but they have been vulnerable to running backs. They are sixth-worst against running backs, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric but ninth-best against wide receivers. They are a perfect example of a run funnel defense. However, the Raiders will be without their right tackle, Trent Brown, who is inactive for Week 7 with a calf injury. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Jacobs ranked as the half PPR RB12. The Raiders are only implied for 20 points but Jacobs could still produce top 12 running back numbers this week.
