Scouting report

MIA WR Kenny Stills - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Cincinnati
Stills saw eight targets against the Browns last week, but with DeVante Parker now healthy, it is unlikely Stills will post consistent fantasy production. Against Cincinnati on the road, Stills should not be a fantasy consideration for your lineup.

MIA WR Kenny Stills - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Cleveland
Stills has been passed by DeVante Parker, after Parker's 100-yard outing last week. You should not be starting him.

MIA WR Kenny Stills - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at New England
Stills had a long touchdown opportunity that he flat-out dropped at Seattle last week, failing to cash in on Devante Parker being sidelined due to injury. Stills played 100% of snaps at Seattle, but only turned five targets into one reception. Bill Belichick is a master of not letting his defense get beat deep, so there's little to no reason to play Stills this week.

MIA WR Kenny Stills - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Seattle
Stills has established himself as the Dolphins No. 2 WR to open the season, especially with DeVante Parker battling hamstring issues, but he won the job when Parker was healthy. However, a trip to Seattle to face the number one defense against fantasy receivers last year, means Still should be nowhere near your lineups.

MIA WR Kenny Stills - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
New Head Coach Adam Gase has said this offseason he “definitely” wants to get Kenny Stills more involved. His 16.5 yards per reception is 7th among active players, so there is some deep threat ability here, evidenced by his time in New Orleans too. Stills flashed that big play ability with 5-81-1 against the Jets last year, 3-74 at Buffalo and 2-52-1 against the Cowboys. If Jarvis Landry or DeVante Parker were to be sidelined for any reason as well, Still stock would definitely rise significantly as well.

Fantasy Downside
Stills was only targeted 63 times last year, more than 100 fewer than Jarvis Landry. That is an extreme boom-or-bust scenario considering the low success rate on deep balls. Stills caught only 42.8 percent of his targets. That’s compared to 70.4 for Rishard Matthews (now with Tennessee), 66.7% for Landry, 50.9% for DeVante Parker and 50% for Jordan Cameron. Still has to hope this is an Adam Gase - Eric Decker situation in Miami (like what Gase utilized in Denver) as the potential WR3 and not a more balanced offense like what Gase used in Chicago last season.

Bottom Line
Stills is not being drafted in most leagues, unless they have extremely large rosters. That is the correct decision based on our rankings.

MIA WR Kenny Stills - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston
Kenny Stills is starting to become more involved in Miami's offense, but not to the point where he's a reliable starting option in fantasy leagues.

NO WR Kenny Stills - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Stills vs. Bucs
Kenny Stills caught six-of-eight passes for 68 yards in the Saints' Week 16 loss to the Falcons. He trailed both Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham in targets and posted an average fantasy line for the third straight week. Even still, he ranks as our No. 18 overall WR for Week 17 and can be viewed as a low-end WR2 against the Bucs.
