Fantasy Upside
With the loss of both Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs over the offseason, there are a lot of missing targets in Buffalo. This clears the way for Keon Coleman, the 33rd overall pick of the NFL Draft, to see a large role right off the bat. Teammates Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel have never taken over as a team's No. 1 receiving option, so the inexperience of Coleman shouldn't be overshadowed by the more experienced players.
Fantasy Downside
Coleman is a raw prospect coming out of college, exhibiting a large catch radius but had issues working against press coverage and showcased a limited route tree. This puts his ability to line up as the X as a team's WR1 as a rookie into question. While he would make sense as a big-bodied slot receiver, Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel also operate out of the slot, with Shakir in particular taking 77.3% of his snaps from the inside. The path to immediate production is murky for the rookie.
2024 Bottom Line
Keon Coleman was initially boosted in ADP as fantasy drafters considered the missing targets from 2023, but as more people looked into his profile, that ADP has dropped. He's still going in the 8th-9th round on a lot of platforms, and that feels too high for a player who isn't likely to see consistent production as he learns on the job.
