JAX WR Laquon Treadwell - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at New England Patriots
Laquon Treadwell has carved out a consistent role in the Jacksonville passing game despite being buried behind Marvin Jones, Laviska Shenault, and the now-injured D.J. Chark to start the year. The only problem with that is the Jacksonville offense's passing production is consistently awful. Treadwell is guaranteed little more than a handful of empty targets in an offense that has managed two passing touchdowns in its past nine games. Now the Jags have to deal with Bill Belichick's smothering defense on the road, meaning Treadwell's floor is nonexistent for Week 17. Despite the surprising role Treadwell has earned this year, he cannot be a recommended start this week.

MIN WR Laquon Treadwell - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Laquon Treadwell stepped up last week with Stefon Diggs out, catching 3 passes for 51 yards. It was a career game for the former first-round pick, but it wasn't impressive enough from a fantasy perspective. There's just not much to like about Treadwell, especially in a tough matchup this week against the Ravens.

MIN WR Laquon Treadwell - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
The Vikings spent a first-round pick pick on Laquon Treadwell because his talent deserves it. He's a great outside weapon who will be able to catch jump balls and pry catches away from defenders. He'll likely enter the team as a starting receiver in his first year.

Fantasy Downside
Treadwell plays in an offense that favors the rushing game. The Vikings had the fewest pass attempts in the league last season, which leaves little room for targets, let alone actual receptions.

Bottom Line
Treadwell is a talented rookie who will likely have some big plays in a given game, but he'll be difficult to trust on a weekly basis.
