DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New York Giants
Despite torn ligaments and a joint dislocation in his right, throwing, middle finger, Matthew Stafford again led his team back in the fourth quarter last week. Playing with a glove after the injury against a good Bears defense, Matthew threw for 223 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 15 yards, including the game-winning score. It was a good sign he was able to be effective with the glove, and all indications are that he’ll be behind center on Sunday. The Giants are No. 23 versus the pass, but weather could be a factor, so consider Stafford more of a QB2 play.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Chicago
For the first time this season, Matthew Stafford didn’t have to rally his team to victory in the fourth quarter last week. Despite not having Marvin Jones, he threw for 341 yards on 30 completions, with two touchdowns, including a 66-yarder that gave the Lions some breathing room in the final stanza. Matthew has also become a bit of a weapon with his legs, running for 22 yards against the Saints. At Chicago in early October, he threw for just 213 yards with two picks and the Bears defense is No. 6 versus the pass thanks to an ugly performance by the 49ers offense last week. However, Stafford is a QB1 play at home on Sunday.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New Orleans
On Thanksgiving, Matthew Stafford threw for 232 yards and a score against the Vikings. While he’s thrown for less than 250 yards in three of the past four games, Matthew has a great matchup this week against a Saints defense that is No. 27 against the pass. Go ahead and start Stafford with confidence on Sunday.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Minnesota
In the win over the Jaguars last Sunday, Matthew Stafford threw for 278 yards with no TDs or INTs. While it was the most yards he’d passed for since Week 3, it was his first no touchdown game since Week 4 at Chicago. On the season, Matthew has thrown for 18 scores and just five picks, with just one interception in his last five games. A few weeks ago in Minnesota, Stafford led the Lions to an overtime win, throwing for 219 yards and two scores, so consider him a low QB1 play in the rematch.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Jacksonville
After being held in check for most of the game two weeks ago in Minnesota, Matthew Stafford completed a long pass to set up the game-tying field goal and then tossed the game-winning touchdown to Golden Tate in overtime. On the afternoon, Matthew threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns. After the week off, Stafford and the Lions have a tough matchup against the No. 4 defense against the pass. He should be considered a low-end QB1 start.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Minnesota
On the road at Houston last Sunday, Matthew Stafford and the Lions offense struggled. He finished with 240 passing yards on 41 attempts, with a short TD toss to Theo Riddick. The ground game couldn’t get going against the Texans, which led to a lot of passes from Stafford. In the past four contests, he's thrown nine TDs and no INTs. However, Stafford has another tough defense to face on Sunday in Minnesota. Consider him a low-end QB1 play.

DET QB Matthew Stafford - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston
The comeback kid was at it again last Sunday in the win over the Redskins. Matthew Stafford rallied his team to another last minute win, finishing with 266 passing yards, 32 rushing yards and the game-winning pass to Anquan Boldin. In the past three weeks (all at home), Matthew has thrown eight touchdown passes without an interception. On the season, he’s tossed for 15 scores and has been picked off only four times. He has a tough matchup on Sunday, however, against a Houston defense that only allows 185 passing yards per game. Three of Stafford’s four INTs have come on the road,
