Scouting report

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 18, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18: Sanu vs Colts
Another one-catch game for Mohamed Sanu makes it three straight and only seven total catches over the last five games. He has really disappeared and QB Andy Dalton does not have confidence in him because of drops and lack of play making .

He doesn't rate high heading into Indy on Sunday, but A.J. Green's health could change that. Green has a concussion and we might not know if he is playing until game time. If he plays, Sanu ranks a low-end WR2 type player, but if Green is out, Sanu could be a sleeper. Remember, he had great success when Green was out of with an injury earlier this season. My advice would be to stay away from him of Green plays, but grab him if Green is out.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Sanu vs Steelers

Mohamed Sanu has only six catches for 55 yards over the past four games. He has struggled since A.J. Green returned to the lineup and Green, who was hurt on Monday night, is expected to play this week.

Sanu will face Pittsburgh who is dead last in aFPA to wide receivers. Even with the great matchup, Sanu has very little value because of his track record the second half of the season. He should remain on the bench for Week 17 with the exception being if Green can't go on Sunday night. Then Sanu's value would jump him up the rankings.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Sanu vs Broncos

For the third straight game, Mohamed Sanu was only targeted three times. That has produced a total of five catches. Yes, QB Andy Dalton has struggled, but Sanu doesn't seem to be on his radar.

Sanu is still clearly the No. 2 receiver playing 89% of the snaps, but we are not seeing enough production to warrant fantasy playing time. Keep Sanu on the bench for Week 16.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Sanu vs Browns

Mohamed Sanu's teammate A.J. Green was having all the fun last week as Sanu was held to two catches for 12 yards. Even with attention paid to the All-Pro, he still puts up numbers and QB Andy Dalton focuses on Green so that leaves Sanu with games like last week.

The Browns defense will post a challenge on the road and even though the matchup is neutral (Cleveland is 17th in aFPA to wide receivers), Sanu should be on the bench for Week 15 as Green is healthy and red-hot right now.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Sanu vs Steelers

The AJ Green factor has officially affected Mohamed Sanu. He was a fantasy star when Green was out, but he is only averaging three catches and 28 yards per game over the last four weeks.

Even with a decent matchup against Pittsburgh, who is 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers, Sanu is a bench player for Week 14. The numbers have not been there to justify a start.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13: Sanu vs Buccaneers

Another decent game for Mohamed Sanu despite the return of A.J. Green. Sanu got into the end zone for the fifth time this season, making his week. You can see he is playing with confidence and should continue to put up decent numbers the rest of the way.

This week, Sanu faces Tampa Bay who is 29th in aFPA to wide receivers, so it is great matchup for all Bengals receivers. Sanu continues to be a solid flex or WR3 option for Week 13.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Sanu vs Texans

With A.J. Green back, Mohamed Sanu's numbers have decreased. The past two weeks he has had five catches for 43 yards and zero scores. The good news for Sanu owners is that he still had 13 targets.

He definitely has some value in Week 12 against Houston who is 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. It could be another big game for Andy Dalton and the Bengals' passing game. Start Sanu as a WR3 or flex against the Texans.
