DET TE Sam LaPorta - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Buffalo Bills
Sam LaPorta has been a little more touchdown-dependent than we had thought heading into the season, eclipsing 50 yards on only four games all year while falling below 30 on five occasions. Though, if you had to aim for any single "touchdown-dependent" tight end option on a weekly basis, you may as well choose the one that plays for the explosive Detroit Lions offense. His floor might seem a little iffy for this fantasy playoffs matchup against a Bills defense that ranks 6th in TE aFPA, but LaPorta should still be considered a TE1 in Week 15.

DET TE Sam LaPorta - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Green Bay Packers
We expected a little more out of Sam LaPorta with Jameson Williams sidelined, but it didn't quite come to fruition as he scored a moderate 8.8 points per game. After missing Week 11 himself, he dropped a disappointing 3.4 half-PPR points, the fifth time he has fallen below 5.0 points this season. In true unpredictable nature, he then followed that up with two touchdowns and 14.1 half-PPR points, though he accrued only six total yards, for one of the whackier stat lines of the year. Fire him up again against a Packers defense ranking 26th in TE aFPA.

Week 13 vs. Chicago Bears
We expected a little more out of Sam LaPorta with Jameson Williams sidelined, but it didn't quite come to fruition as he scored a moderate 8.8 points per game. After missing Week 11, he dropped a disappointing 3.4 half-PPR points, the fifth time he has fallen below 5.0 points this season. It's been more than frustrating for managers of the sophomore, but he should be plugged in ahead of streamers in Week 12.

It's been more than frustrating for managers of the sophomore, but he should be plugged in ahead of streamers in Week 12.

We expected a little more out of Sam LaPorta with Jameson Williams sidelined, but it didn't quite come to fruition as he scored a moderate 8.8 points per game. The Texans rank 4th in TE aFPA, and with Williams back, it's probably a better idea to fire up a TE streamer.

Week 9 @ Green Bay Packers
Who knew we'd need a Jameson Williams suspension to light a fire under Sam LaPorta fantasy aspirations? The tight end had hit 7+ fantasy points in only two games, while failing to top 55 yards once after doing so seven times in his rookie season. But in Week 8, he came through with a solid 6-48-1 line on six targets, for his most fantasy points of the year. With the Packers ranking 31st in TE aFPA, it's safe to jam him in as a locked-in TE1 once again.

Week 8 vs.Tennessee Titans
Who knew we'd need a Jameson Williams suspension to light a fire under Sam LaPorta fantasy aspirations? The tight end has hit 7+ fantasy points in only two games, while failing to top 55 yards once after doing so seven times in his rookie season. What's worse, the Titans rank first in TE aFPA. If you've got a competent streamer loaded up, feel free to bench LaPorta, otherwise, just ride this out with the WR2 sidelined.
