MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Green Bay Packers

This is a weird stat, but hang with me: Last week, Stefon Diggs had his first game between 50-90 receiving yards by finishing 4-76. The reason I bring this stat up is because it's indicative of Diggs' odd season where he either completely dominates, or hardly does anything. This week he faces a Packers defense he struggled against earlier in the year as he caught just one pass off of seven targets (it was a 49-yard touchdown, but still just one catch). Diggs is an odd player, but he always carries WR1 potential, which makes him worth starting on a weekly basis. We like him as a high-end WR2 this week vs. the Packers in Week 16.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Los Angeles Chargers

Stefon Diggs looked good last week, finishing 6-92 on nine targets. He's had an odd season, but he's had stretches of dominant performances, including five 100-yard games. His numbers may dip a bit this week as he gets a tough matchup against the Chargers who have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to receivers. His ceiling is so high that he should still be viewed as a high-end WR2 this week, but he may not put up mind-blowing numbers.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

Stefon Diggs saw a team-high nine targets last week, but only caught four passes for 25 yards. It's yet another roller-coaster performance from Diggs who has been one of the most frustrating fantasy players in 2019. He's had five games where he's totaled 682 yards, but in his other seven games, he's averaging just 2.4 receptions for 31 yards. He should bounce back this week in a favorable matchup against the Lions, though. He torched them earlier this year with a 7-143 stat line. His great upside has him as a strong WR2 against Detroit.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Seattle Seahawks

Stefon Diggs hit a slight road bump, but he's back to being productive as he exploded for a 5-121-1 line last week. He's now topped 100 yards five times this season. But Diggs is very hot and cold as he's averaging 33 yards in the six games where he didn't reach 100. He's also scored just five times this season, and three of the scores came in one game. Diggs is a frustrating player due to his inconsistency, but he should be viewed as a WR2 due to his tremendous upside.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Denver Broncos

Stefon Diggs finished 3-49 and 1-4 in the last two games where Adam Thielen hasn't really played (inactive Week 10, played 7 snaps in Week 9). It's a disappointing stretch considering Diggs had three straight 140+ yard games before this. He could struggle again this week as he faces a Broncos defense giving up the third-fewest fantasy points to receivers. Thielen is also expected to be inactive as he's missed practice all week. Diggs still has potential as we've seen this season, so he's still a strong WR2. But don't be surprised if he doesn't have a huge game.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys

Stefon Diggs struggled to get anything done last week, finishing with one catch for four yards on five targets. This came after a crazy three-game stretch where he had a combined 453 receiving yards. He may struggle again this week as he gets a tough matchup against the Cowboys who are allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. But don't expect another one-catch game. He should bounce back and put up borderline WR1 numbers.

MIN WR Stefon Diggs - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Kansas City Chiefs

Stefon Diggs shined once again last week, catching all seven targets for 143 yards. Oddly enough, it was the exact same stat line he had as the week before. But that now means Diggs has topped 100 receiving yards in four of his last five games. He's only scored in two games this season, but his receptions and yards have more than made up for that. He should be productive again this week even in a poor matchup against the Chiefs. His value goes up even more if Adam Thielen is unable to play, but we expect Thielen to line up. Diggs should be viewed as a lower-end WR1 in Week 9.
