Chargers to activate TE Hayden Hurst ahead of TNF

The Chargers plan to activate TE Hayden Hurst from Injured Reserve to play in tonight’s game against the Broncos, source says.

Hurst went on IR with a hip injury in late November, but he’s practiced fully since having his window opened this week.

Fantasy Impact:

This puts a bit of a damper on Smartt as a streaming option in Week 16, as he should lose a little bit of usage to the vet. When (if) Dissly returns, he will likely also be off the radar as the situation gets a little too clogged up.

Week 16 vs Denver Broncos

With Will Dissly ruled out for Week 16, that means we are getting the Stone Smartt show again this week. Admittedly, I enjoyed the show last week and wouldn't mind going back to him in DFS on a single-game slate against Denver. In season-long he's a mid-end TE2 and can likely be avoided in standard leagues. Denver is 3rd aFPA against tight ends so the matchup is far from great.
