Fantasy Upside
Taysom Hill is a tight end in name only. We know by now the Saints love to use him in a variety of ways, including on the goal line, which was a driving force in Hill rushing for seven touchdowns in 2022. There will be weeks where he puts up double-digit points in fantasy.
Fantasy Downside
There will also be plenty of weeks where Hill puts up next to nothing in fantasy because the game flow doesn't allow him to be on the field. The Saints also now have a better quarterback in Derek Carr, who can get the ball to playmakers like Chris Olave. New Orleans' tight end room is also pretty stocked with Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau, further capping Hill's ceiling.
2023 Bottom Line
There is a very small chance Hill repeats as a top-five fantasy tight end. He's currently being drafted just inside the top 20 among tight ends and will have to compete with Jamaal Williams, Juwan Johnson, and Foster Moreau down at the goal line, not to mention the other playmakers all throughout the field. Hill is going late in drafts and for good reason. He's far from consistent from a fantasy perspective.
