Scouting report

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston Texans
Tucker Kraft had a clunker of a Week 6 (2-13-0) but it's hardly enough to tarnish the 37.1 half-PPR fantasy points he had accrued over the previous two weeks. The Texans have been stout against the TE position through the first five weeks of the season, but Kraft should still be considered a top-10 option in what should be an exciting matchup.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Arizona Cardinals
Luke Musgrave suited up for Week 4 after being questionable, but it sure didn't impact Tucker Kraft's bottom line. His nine targets led to a 6-53-1 stat line and made him the most valuable streamer of Week 4, if not the entire season. He followed up that performance with a fantastic 4-88-2 stat line to prove it wasn't a fluke, and now his teammate looks to be heading to the IR. Kraft should continue his role as Waiver Wire Darling as a locked-in TE1 option in Week 6.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 @ Los Angeles Rams
Luke Musgrave suited up for Week 4 after being questionable, but it sure didn't impact Tucker Kraft's bottom line. His nine targets led to a 6-53-1 stat line and made him the most valuable streamer of Week 4, if not the entire season. He gets an equally great matchup against a Rams team that ranks 23rd in TE aFPA and could very well give us another solid TE1 output in Week 5.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Minnesota Vikings
It looks like Luke Musgrave will suit up for Week 4, but after spending all week on the injury report, it makes it an interesting matchup for Tucker Kraft. Though the Vikings have been stout in every aspect of their defense, they have surrendered the sixth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position. Kraft is a viable streamer for those looking for an option in Week 4.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Tucker Kraft continues to fill in admirably for Luke Musgrave while he's been out. Musgrave is listed as doubtful this week and we shouldn't expect to see him back. Kraft was second on the team last week with 4 catches and 60 scoreless yards against the Panthers. Kraft will try to continue to hurdle his way over everyone, but it might be a bit tougher this week with Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks in the lineup.

Combine a few receivers returning and a difficult matchup for tight ends against the Vikings -- 2nd aFPA against tight ends -- and this is a recipe to pass on Kraft this week. It's a tough week for tight ends, but I would be looking elsewhere.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Carolina Panthers

Tucker Kraft has started take off the last few weeks without Luke Musgrave, but runs into a buzzsaw of a pass defense this week against the Panthers. It's the polar opposite of his matchup last week where he put up 4 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs.

This week against the top-ranked defense aFPA against tight ends in the Panthers is a much tougher spot for Kraft. He's a back-end TE2 in 2TE leagues or TE premium leagues this week. However, even in the difficult matchup it looks like a few regular wide receivers could miss this weekend. That raises his floor a bit as there aren't as many mouths to feed this week.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tucker Kraft is becoming a more consistent target for Jordan Love and he paid him off last week catching all four targets for 64 yards, including a 43-yarder. It's a similar stat line we were seeing from Luke Musgrave earlier this season and some weeks he would mix in a touchdown and others not so much.

Tampa Bay ranks 23rd aFPA against tight ends this week and given how some teams have struggled to run against Tampa Bay and the way the Packers have struggled to run the ball, Jordan Love may drop back a few more times this week. That would certainly help Kraft's ceiling this week. While he ranks outside of the top-12 tight ends a lot of guys just inside the top-12 and just outside are in tough matchups. It isn't out of the question that Kraft could outperform a few of them. Is it worth starting? Probably not in 1TE leagues, but in 2TE leagues or deeper flex leagues with TE premium, it isn't the worst thing I've ever heard of.
