CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Tyler Boyd had five receptions for 44 yards last week in a game that saw the running game take over and the starters out early beacuse of the blowout. We saw Boyd with a huge game back in Week 7 against Atlanta with Ja'Marr Chase out which we have always said Boys is capable of.

He now returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh where he played his high school and college ball. The Steelers pass defense hasn't been good and Boyd seems to have some big games against them although he only had four receptions for 27 yards in the first meeting this season. He did add a touchdown in that game.

Start Boyd as a solid WR2 for Week 11. He has slid into that role nicely and will give owners good numbers this Sunday.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Carolina Panthers
Tyler Boyd moves up with Ja'Marr Chase's injury but it was an average game for him last week with three receptions for 38 yards. However, he wasn't a total bust as he did score a touchdown. Boyd is always capable of a big game, so keep in that mind.

Boyd will face the Panthers who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers. The Bengals seemed to be getting their act together, but have to regroup without Chase which we saw was an issue on Monday.

Start Boyd as a low-end WR2 for Week 9. Cincy's passing game should eventually click again and he will be in the middle of that action.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cleveland Browns
Tyler Boyd exploded with his best game of the season last week. He was targeted nine times which produced eight receptions for 155 receiving yards - all season highs. He also scored his third touchdown of the season. Any of these Bengals receivers are capable of having big games and it was Boyd's turn this week. With Ja'Marr Chase out 4 to 6 weeks, Boyd's role is elevated.

The Bengals face the Browns who are ranked 26th in aFPA to wide receivers. Boyd has historically had excellent outings against Cleveland, except most recently. Last year, he only played in one meeting where he had 11 receiving yards.

Start Boyd as a WR3 or Flex for Week 8. The Cincy offense has been firing on all cylinders the last several games so Boyd should be in your lineup in case it's his turn to be the big target.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Tyler Boyd had season-highs in targets and receptions, but it wasn't anything off the charts. He produced 66 yards which was his second highest total of the season. Boyd is still stuck as the third receiver even though he has played 82% of the snaps in 2022.

Boyd faces a bad Falcons pass defense so this is a very good matchup for the Bengals offense. We still don't see him getting anything more than he has for most of the season with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins healthy. Keep Boyd on the bench for Week 7 against Atlanta.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New Orleans Saints
You would think with Tee Higgins being benched for an injury, Tyler Boyd would have an increase in production, but it didn't happen last week. Boyd ended up with only four targets which produced three receptions for 32 yards. He was on the field for 97% of the offensive snaps but it didn't pay off.

Even with a matchup advantage against the Saints pass defense, we recommend Boyd remain on the bench for Week 6. Except for a big Week 3, his fantasy numbers haven't been good enough to help your team.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Miami Dolphins
Although Tyler Boyd is third in the pecking order in the Bengals wide receiver hiearchy, last week he was the one with the big game. Boyd had four receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. Cincinnati's offense played much better and that produced the first win of the season.

Boyd will face the Dolphins who are ranked 4th in aFPA to wide receivers. Despite the threat of a big game every week, those still usually go to Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins so if you played Boyd last week, you lucked out. However, he should remain on your bench for Week 4 against Miami.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Dallas Cowboys
Tyler Boyd ended up getting extra snaps last Sunday when Tee Higgins got knocked out of the game with a concussion. Boyd was targeted 7 times which produced four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. The TD reception helped Boyd to a decent fantasy day and he ended playing 80% of the snaps.

Boyd will face the Cowboys who are ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers but held the Bucs to one touchdown. We will have to keep an eye on the injury report. If Higgins can't go, Boyd is a solid WR3 or flex. If Higgins can play, Boyd should be on the bench.
