2022 Fantasy Upside
Tyler Boyd plays in one of the best passing games in the NFL. He is assured of a position in the slot and even though he is consider the No. 3 receiver, he played in 74% of the snaps in 2021. Boyd ended up with 67 receptions for 828 yards and 5 touchdowns which would be the equivalent to No. 2 receiver numbers on a lot of teams. The veteran is still a good route runner and makes big catches when needed.
2022 Fantasy Downside
Like we mentioned, Boyd is clearly the No. 3 receiver for Cincy behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. You won't get many big games for him as he had one 100 receiving yard game last season. It's hard to think his numbers will be better and they could even decline dramatically if Boyd seems to be on the downside of his career.
2022 Bottom Line
There is still a place for Boyd on your fantasy team. The Bengals passing game dictates that along with the fact he still was getting on the field and getting targets. Boyd is a good fourth receiver for your squad, but definitely don't draft him any earlier than the 11th round and it might be better if you can get him in the 12th or 13th.
