CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants
Tyler Boyd had a decent game against Washington despite losing quarterback Joe Burrow who is now out for the season. Boyd had 11 targets which produced 9 receptions for 85 yards. We expect those targets to continue with new quarterback Brandon Allen taking over, but how good the passing game will be for Cincy is a huge question.

The Giants come to town ranked 15th in aFPA to wide receivers. The veteran receivers should still see their share of targets and Boyd still will have the most fantasy value overall of the Bengals skill players.

Boyd still has value in PPR leagues for Week 12 as a WR3 or flex. However, sit Boyd in standard leagues. The receptions should be there but the other receiving stats will hurt with Burrow out.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Washington
Tyler Boyd had six receptions for 41 yards against his hometown team, and was second on the team in targets behind rookie Tee Higgins. However, the output was his lowest receiving yardage total since Week 1. The overall performance this season has been good as he has a minimum of four catches in every game. QB Joe Burrow has spread the ball around so Boyd is definitely will get his numbers.

It's a tough matchup this week against Washington who is ranked fourth in aFPA to wide receivers. WR Tee Higgins has been getting more targets over the last couple of games, but against a better defense, the veterans could see more footballs coming their way.

Start Boyd in standard leagues as a low-end WR2. He has more value in PPR leagues. We expect Burrow to still struggle against another good defense but Boyd and the receivers should still get the numbers they have been this season.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Pittsburgh
Tyler Boyd now has touchdowns in back-to-back games. He still remains the most targeted Bengals receiver and seems to be the most consistent for Cincy. However, rookie QB Joe Burrow has done a good job spreading the ball around so there really is no No. 1 receiver, and Boyd might be the man one week but another one of the receivers could step up on a weekly basis.

Boyd will face the Steelers who are 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. Even though the numbers look good, Burrow has never seen the Steelers defense. Boyd is the highest ranked Bengals receiver for Week 10.

Start Boyd as a solid WR2 in PPR leagues but he dips to a high-end WR3 in standard leagues. The Pittsburgh native had a 100+ receiving yard game last season but also had 33 yards in the other meeting. He should be somewhere in between this Sunday.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tennessee
Tyler Boyd got back on track with 13 targets that produced 11 receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. Boyd's numbers have been inconsistent this season so you are wondering each week about his production. September 27th was the last time he had double-digit targets. He is still getting the ball, but to classify him as a WR1 this season has not worked with his numbers.

Boyd faces Tennessee who is ranked 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. With the way the Bengals passing game has performed, we expect the fantasy numbers to continue to be high for everyone involved.

Boyd should be a starter for Week 8 but in PPR leagues he ranks higher - WR2 while in standard leagues he comes in as high-end WR3 or flex. The targets have been higher for the veteran receivers which should equate to more receptions for Boyd.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cleveland
Tyler Boyd had five receptions for 54 yards which ranked him the third-best receiver on the Bengals last week. With the emergence of rookie Tee Higgins and veteran A.J. Green showing he isn't done yet, Boyd's stock is taking a hit because of the ball being spread around so much. This is good for the Bengals but not for Boyd's owners.

It is a great matchup for Boyd against Cleveland who is ranked 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. He had seven receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown in the earlier meeting this season and Boyd had traditionally had good success against the Browns.

Start Boyd but only as a WR3 or flex for Week 7. He will continue to put up decent numbers, but the problem is the ball is being spread out more and that will limit those breakout games for all Bengals wide receivers or at least make it less predictable.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Indianapolis
Tyler Boyd was fairly quiet last Sunday with four receptions for 42 yards. This was more because of the Bengals offense being inefficient against the Ravens and rookie quarterback Joe Burrow struggling. Boyd was only ranked third in targets last week which of course is not the norm.

It won't be any easier against Indianapolis who is ranked fifth in aFPA to wide receivers. Boyd has established himself as the No. 1 receiver which of course brings more attention to him. But it should also bring more targets which is questionable this week against another superior defense.

Boyd should be a starter for Week 6 but only as a high-end WR3 or flex. Again, more of a reflection of the Bengals offense against a tough matchup then Boyd himself.

CIN WR Tyler Boyd - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Baltimore
Tyler Boyd has stepped forward as QB Joe Burrow's favorite target so far in 2020 and the fantasy results have been positive. Boyd has had 24 catches over the past three games averaging over 95 receiving yards over that span. Even with A.J. Green back this season, Boyd seems a better option for the Bengals.

It won't be an easy matchup for Boyd and the Bengals passing game as the Ravens are 10th in aFPA to wide receivers. Boyd has had moderate success against Baltimore over the years but no big games.

Start Boyd but he is only a high-end WR3 or flex for Week 5. The Ravens defense will give the rookie quarterback issues and that will limit Boyd's success this time around.
