Starting in Washington, this is now his third straight week Rico Dowdle taking 70%+ of the carries.

Fantasy Impact:

The post went on to say Dowdle was averaging 48% of the Cowboys' carries over the course of his first nine games. Pittsburgh was the only week he got more than 57% of the team's carries. We did report, even starting back in summer, that Dowdle was the best RB on the team according to those who cover the Cowboys. Unfortunately for owners, it took some time for Dowdle to become the clear RB1, but for those who own him heading into the playoffs, this is a comforting stat to know. The next question will be what is Dowdle's future with the Cowboys. With so many needs and questions heading into 2025, it's possible Dowdle is back as an overall inexpensive option.

DAL RB Rico Dowdle - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 @ Philadelphia Eagles
Rico Dowdle had a bit of an out-of-nowhere clunker in Week 16, earning 23 yards on 13 carries (1.77 YPA) with a long of 6 yards. Better yet, Ezekiel Elliott cultured a touchdown from the one-yard-line to add icing to the cake. Luckily, Dowdle caught all three of his targets to avoid a complete disaster, but it was still a performance to forget.

Now he gets an Eagles defense that ranks 2nd in RB aFPA, and the team will be missing stud wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, which definitely impacts the offense's ability to move the ball. Dowdle was a pleasant surprise in the second half of the season, but he should be considered in the fringe RB2/3 range in Week 17.
