Former Jaguars TE Luke Farrell reached agreement with the 49ers on a 3-year contract worth up to $20.25 million, including $11M guaranteed.
Related Players: George Kittle, Brayden Willis
The former fifth-round pick has career highs of 13 receptions and 155 yards (2023), so we should expect him to operate as a blocking/Kittle insurance signing for San Francisco.
TE Evan Engram out for the season. Surgery coming on labrum in shoulder.
Related Players: Brenton Strange, Luke Farrell, Josiah Deguara
Bummer for Engram, who will finish the season as the TE16 with 7.3 half-PPR PPG in nine weeks.
It's unlikely that Strange pops up as a TE streamer through the remainder of the season, with no more byes on the horizon.
The Jaguars officially have signed former Packers TE Josiah Deguara.
Related Players: Evan Engram, Luke Farrell
With the Packers drafting both Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft last season, Deguara ended up becoming expendable. Deguara earned 33 targets back in 2021 but hasn't matched that usage in the two seasons since. He will provide depth behind Evan Engram.
Tight end Evan Engram and the Jacksonville Jaguars reached an agreement on a three-year contract, agent Mike McCartney announced Sunday.

Engram had a fantastic 2022 season, setting career highs in catches (73) and receiving yards (766). This was after years as a notoriously inefficient fantasy piece with the New York Giants, consistently ranking near the bottom of the league in yards per target. Doug Pederson's tight-end-friendly offense turned that around, making him '22's overall TE6 in half PPR scoring.
Ahead of this season, the target tree could very well shrink with Calvin Ridley back from suspension, but Engram should absolutely be considered a top-10 option.
