SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Arizona Cardinals

D.K. Metcalf had a fairly quiet fantasy day on his return to the Seahawks last week, scoring 10.5 Half-PPR points. Metcalf is the WR16 in points per game this season. If he can command his usual workload, then he should be able to justify low-end WR1 consideration against the Cardinals in Week 12. The Cards rank 11th in aFPA to wide receivers this year, but the Seahawks are airing the ball out, and that benefits the likes of Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at San Francisco 49ers

D.K. Metcalf practiced in full this week and should be able to return to action for the Seahawks. Metcalf is the WR16 in Half-PPR points per game with 12.6 and has scored a touchdown in two of his last three trips to the 49ers. He won’t be in for an easy time of it, especially with the Niners ranking sixth in aFPA to wide receivers, but he should be able to deliver WR2 numbers for his fantasy managers.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Los Angeles Rams

D.K. Metcalf is yet to practise this week and must be seen on the doubtful side of questionable to suit up against the Rams. If he does play, he should probably be seen as a low-end WR2 option in a matchup against a team that ranks ninth in aFPA to wide receivers.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Atlanta Falcons

D.K. Metcalf’s cold spell continued into Week 6, with a mere 6.3 Half-PPR points on his way to WR49 for the week. Metcalf has now dropped outside of the top 24 in points per game, sitting at WR26.

Metcalf might be able to bounce back this week with a clash against the Falcons, who have been middling opponents for wide receivers this season. The Falcons rank 17th in aFPA to wideouts, which should help Metcalf get back to high-end WR2/low-end WR1 airspace.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs San Francisco 49ers/strong>

D.K. Metcalf is, like his fantasy managers and Geno Smith enthusiasts, waiting for the touchdown regression to take hold in 2024. Smith is averaging career-highs in receptions and yards per game, but with only two touchdowns so far he's averaging only 12.8 Half-PPR points per game, good for WR18 in points per game.

This might be the week for Metcalf, with the 49ers a middling foe for wide receivers in 2024, ranking 14th in aFPA to the position. Metcalf looks like someone who should be in the WR1 airspace this week.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants/strong>

Week 4 was something of a disappointing week for D.K. Metcalf in fantasy terms. Metcalf cleared 100 yards receiving on seven catches, but without a trip to the endzone, he could only muster 11.9 Half PPR points, finishing as the WR29 for the week.

We can expect a bounceback in Week 5 against the Giants, who haven't exactly shut down the opposition wide receivers this season. The G Men rank 11th in aFPA to the position. Metcalf should return to WR1 airspace this week.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Detroit Lions

D.K. Metcalf only saw six targets against the Seahawks but he turned them into four grabs and 104 yards, with a 71-yard touchdown for good measure. He finished as the WR9 in Half PPR formats and is starting to look like an asset to his fantasy managers.

The good times should keep rolling this week, with a plumb matchup against the Lions. Metcalf projects as a mid-tier WR1 in what should be an exciting back-and-forth encounter.
