Jets QB Zach Wilson will not play Thursday night at Browns, per Saleh.

Wilson wasn't expected to be able to go thanks to a short week for the Jets. Siemian threw for 217 yards and a TD as the Jets let a big lead against the Commanders get away from them. Siemian seems to be in line to get the start against the Brown in Week 17 on Thursday night.

Zach Wilson has been declared out with a concussion for Sunday, so Siemian and Rypien will be the options for the Jets in Week 16. Garrett Wilson continues to play in quarterback purgatory, but his talent still makes him a WR2 option.

Saleh tells reporters Wilson could start if he doesn't practice, which could be the case depending on when he would get cleared from concussion protocol. The post went on to say if Wilson doesn't pass protocol, Siemian will start. There continues to be rumors Rodgers will get cleared to play, but reports have surfaced that those in the organization see no reason to put Rodgers on the field this season.

Tim Boyle, the No. 3 quarterback who became the starter after the Jets benched Zach Wilson, will be released by the Jets, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.

The Jets also will be signing quarterback Brett Rypien from the Seattle practice squad.

Fantasy Impact:

There is no update on who the Jets plan to start this week. There are conflicting reports about the team wanting to go back to Wilson but Wilson being reluctant to play. With Boyle out of the picture and Rypien perhaps needing more time to get up to speed, it could mean Siemian gets the nob. We'll likely know more by later in the week, but it probably goes without saying no one is really a good option outside of desperation plays in deeper two-QB or superflex leagues and dynasty leagues.
