Scouting report

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New Orleans
DeVonta Smith continues to get better each week. He had four receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns at Denver. Smith is garnering attention from opposing defenses but still is making plays. It was the first time in his career he had multiple touchdowns in a game.

Smith will face the Saints who are ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. This is a great matchup for the Eagles. They should definitely try to take advantage of it.

Star Smith as a low-end WR2 for Week 11. He has been coming in as a WR3 most weeks but his progress and the matchup put him higher for Sunday.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Denver
De'Vonta Smith had one of his best games of the season despite the Eagles only throwing for 162 yards. He had five receptions for 116 yards and his first touchdown since Week 1. Smith still remains the best receiving option on Philly.

Eagles face the Broncos who are 16th in aFPA to wide receivers. Expect Smith to still get targets but the Philly passing game has struggled in recent weeks.

Start Smith as a WR3 or flex for Week 10 and hope the Eagles get the passing game going with Jalen Hurts.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
The Eagles' offense was quiet despite scoring 41 points. DeVonta Smith had one reception for 15 yards in a game Philly had in hand early on. Smith is still the No. 1 receiver and that game was just a fantasy anomaly.

Smith faces the Chargers who are ranked No. 1 in the NFL in aFPA to wide receivers. Los Angeles' defense has been very good so we don't expect this to be a big game for the rookie.

If you need him, you can start him but he only rates a low-end WR3 or flex for Week 9.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Detroit
DeVonta Smith had nine targets last week which is what you would like to see every week. It produced five catches for 61 yards. Not great numbers but helpful for a fantasy team if he is your third receiver.

Smith will face the Lions who are ranked 10th in aFPA to wide receivers. Even though Smith is the Eagles' No.1 receiver, he still hasn't made enough big plays to get him to the numbers you would anticipate. Start Smith Week 8 as a high-end WR3 or flex against Detroit.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Las Vegas
After two strong weeks, DeVonta Smith took a slight step back last game. He was held to two catches for 31 yards. Smith is still the No. 1 target in the passing game, but the Eagles had an overall bad day on offense. This should just be a fluke.

Smith will face a Raiders defense that is ranked 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect him to get some attention from the Las Vegas secondary, but the numbers should be much better than last week.

Start Smith as a low-end WR2 for Week 7. If he gets seven or more targets, his ranking will be even higher but we still think he will be helpful in all leagues and formats.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Tampa Bay
DeVonta Smith continues to be the most targeted player in the Eagles offense. He is averaging just under eight per game. Last week, he was targeted eight times for seven receptions and 77 yards. Smith hasn't reached the end zone since Week 1.

The Eagles will play Thursday night and Smith has a great matchup against Tampa Bay who is ranked dead last in aFPA to wide receivers. This could be a breakout night for him on national TV.

Start Smith as a WR2 for Week 6. We expect similar targets and some big plays. He could move closer to a WR1 if he would start scoring touchdowns but it hasn't happened lately.

PHI WR DeVonta Smith - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Carolina
Devonta Smith had his best game as a pro. He was targeted 10 times for seven receptions for 122 touchdowns. He did not get in the end zone and only has the one touchdown from Week 1. His stock is rising as the Eagles are looking pass-happy. But we still want to see more.

Smith faces the Panthers who are 12th in aFPA to wide receivers. Carolina is very good against the run so we expect Smith to be involved in the passing game a lot on Sunday.

Start Smith as a WR3 or Flex. We want to see more numbers like last week, but he is definitely on his way to making a big impact in fantasy.
