FanDuel Week 6 Slate Breakdown with Cash and GPP Picks
In this space each week, I give my overall FanDuel cash game and tournament strategy thoughts and discuss how players fit into these strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process. For those new to 4for4, we use a proprietary value metric to determine the best values across all positions, rather than the flawed raw point-per-dollar value you usually find across the industry. An extension of our value metric and projections is our GPP Leverage Score, a single value that drives our decisions on which players we can be most confident using in GPPs as it relates to their expected ownership in large-field tournaments.
Main Slate Cash Game Strategy
Quarterback
The Chiefs/Texans game is going to dominate ownership this week, with an over/under hovering around 55 points and two of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the game. Deshaun Watson ($8,400) has actually been slightly more efficient than Patrick Mahomes ($9,200) on a fantasy point per attempt basis and the Texans signal-caller is my preferred option given the discount here. There is no reason to expect this game not to be a shootout and with no slam-dunk pay-down options at quarterback this week, Watson is the most streamlined option to a huge chunk of this game’s offensive output, as he’s accounted for 74% of Houston’s total yards and 14 of their 16 offensive touchdowns.
