NFL DFS Week 8 Afternoon-Only Slate Breakdown

Here I will be doing a team by team breakdown for the afternoon slate (4pm) and discussing the top plays for both cash games and tournaments.

Carolina Panthers vs San Francisco 49ers (42 Over/Under)

The Panthers and 49ers are both top-five against opposing quarterbacks and top-five against wide receivers in non-PPR scoring. There doesn't appear to be much fantasy goodness in this one at all, so the options I'm interested in are very limited.

Christian McCaffrey ($9.600 FD/$9,200 DK)

Similar to Latavius Murray last week, the hope here is that volume can overcome what looks like a really rough matchup. McCaffrey leads the NFL in touches per game and the Panthers average roughly six more rushing attempts per game on the road than at home.
