Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 8 Targets
Hopefully, we can retire “bye-pocalypse” or “bye-nado” from our lexicon after Week 7. The weekend was set up for chaos with multiple double-digit spreads, and we were still surprised by the outcomes. Most of us are getting our starters back, but some will be navigating the waiver wire for relief at quarterback. But, before we get into the recommendations, let’s look at how Week 7’s targets fared and any changes to the process we need to make before diving into Week 8.

The weather in Santa Clara put a damper on what should have been a suitable environment for Garoppolo. Two DPI penalties set up the Colts for short touchdowns, necessitating a boost in passing volume but the rain (and Garoppolo’s arm) did them no favors. Otherwise, the streaming recommendations met expectations given all of the bye weeks.

Ryan Tannehill | 19.4 | 12 |
The volume was there for Winston, but drops diminished what would have been a better day. Kenny Stills and Kevin White both dropped deep balls from Winston in the third quarter. Tre’Quan Smith didn’t even turn around on a target intended for him and committed OPI on the same play. A harsh result (unless you rostered Alvin Kamara), but the Seahawks’ slow pace (just 50 plays) may be a deterrent for future recommendations.
