I begin my research for DFS tournaments every week by sifting through what our opponents are doing and engineering lineups backward from there.
These top plays, though viable for cash games (which will be noted throughout), are suggested specifically for tournaments and are weighted for ceiling projection, matchup, ownership, and value. I will include any thoughts on game theory within my reasoning for each player.

Quarterbacks
Josh Allen, Bills ($8,500 DraftKings, $9,200 FanDuel)
This one goes without saying: Allen has finished as a top-five quarterback in 8-of-9 starts on DraftKings and is suddenly served a Browns secondary (indoors nonetheless) that has permitted the league’s fourth-highest rate of explosive passes (15 yards). Pending how his ownership projects by Sunday morning, I’m more than willing to get off Allen entirely for one of the other options below.
