2024 Fantasy Football Rankings Breakdown: Wide Receivers
Our 2024 projections have been released, so it’s time to go position-by-position and briefly explain what I’m seeing as the draft season starts to take shape. This is the fourth of a four-part series providing an early look at our early 2024 projections.

Top-Heavy and Deep?
Looking at the projections, I noticed something interesting. I have three players–CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, and Amon-Ra St. Brown–projected for 250-300 half-PPR fantasy points. I have three more–Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, and A.J. Brown–projected for 200-250 fantasy points. Then, there are 35 receivers in the 200-250 range. So we have several high-end WR1 types, and then a large swath of talented receivers who are likely to produce starter-level numbers or better.
One of my favorite strategies is to target real-world WR1-types in the middle/late rounds. Here are several players who fit the bill this season:
- Malik Nabers (WR24, 4.12)
- Zay Flowers (WR25, 5.04)
- Amari Cooper (WR27, 5.08)
- George Pickens (WR29, 6.01)
- Keenan Allen (WR30, 6.03)
- Terry McLaurin (WR31, 6.08)
- Christian Kirk (WR32, 6.09)
- Calvin Ridley (WR33, 6.11)
- Hollywood Brown (WR37, 7.09–assuming Rashee Rice is suspended)
- Diontae Johnson (WR41, 8.05)
- Courtland Sutton (WR46, 9.10)
- Ladd McConkey (WR47, 9.11)
