San Diego fans and fantasy players had reason to be concerned when news surfaced that star TE Antonio Gates visited a North Carolina foot specialist he's visited before, but Gates has offered assurance that he's doing good. He was diagnosed with a slight case of plantar fasciitis, and said the foot that was giving him a little trouble was his right foot, not the left foot that has bothered him in the past.
"Just taking precautionary action because of the struggles in the past and all the things I have been through," Gates said. "It never was a major problem; it was something I wanted to make sure wasn't any worse."
Gates is 4for4's number two tight end in our most recently published cheat sheets. All signs point to another good season for Gates.
